A genuine question: is it normal to be shaken up after experiencing your first accident? And is it normal to keep replaying the moment in your head and how you could have avoided it? :(

It is normal.

I was rear-ended in my mum's hatchback last year. I stood and cried outside the car in the heat for 2 hours before the tow truck came. It was my first accident, I have no doubt i'll react the same way if it happens again. 😆

Yes its normal. U need few days to overcome it. Watch funny videos & interact a lot with ur friends & family. Don't get into stressful conversation or any arguments.

Hope you are doing good

Hey sweet heart. First of all *BIG HUGS* poor baby.

The answer is YES. It is normal. In fact, it's weird, I was in a minor accident on Saturday night. And I was shaken up too.
And very often I keep thinking about ways I could have avoided it.
And I almost feel sick sometimes too. Ew.
But we're gonna be fine. After some time, these feelings will pass.
Time heals everything. Just be strong. You were made to be resilient. You will get over it for sure.
If you feel worried, see a doctor.

Yes, it's normal. The excess glucocorticoids have over stimulated the hippocampus. Relax.

Hey - hope you're ok.
It is. I was t-boned on the passenger side with my mom and aunt sitting on that side. Thank fully they were both ok with minor arm scratches. My car was totaled. The accident happened in front of a precinct, the dude ran a stop sign and was on the phone. lol Go figure.
