Oh my, what you said is really not cool man. Maybe she GENUINELY finds it comforting to share her problems here on IF. So please, irrespective of what your opinion is about her, keep it to yourself and leave it at that
OT, yes its perfectly normal, and I hope you get over it soon..if not it can cont to really haunt you. I have a friend with that accident exp, now she's literaly afraid to cross the road alone.

Its normal but try NOT thinking about it AT ALL...When I was new to driving, I slept at my wheel and practically drove into a house...Apparently I was also going to run down a lady who just cleared herself from my path in time...That was a huge thing for me and bothered me that I could've actually harmed/killed a person...But I decided I will not think about it any further and that decision helped me a lot...whenever my mind kept going back to it, I would just redirect my thoughts to something else...It is an exercise that will help you in life accidents or no accidents...Please don't think about it AT ALL...Please!!!

There have been 3 times when someone has hit me from the back. It always left me shaken. The first time it happened to me, the person who hit me from the back broke my brake light. I was so shaken that I didn't even stop the car, so that person got away. It bothered me for days and I felt really uncomfortable driving by that area again. I also felt bad for not stopping the car to exchange information with the guy who hit me. But my dad didn't understand how uncomfortable I felt with the situation. He took me to that area again on purpose and it was like re-living that incident all over again. But over time I learned from that experience. I still feel shaken but I can handle things better now. You'll be okay.

Wow. That is probably the most hurtful thing anyone has ever said to me in a very long time - especially a person who doesn't even know me on a personal level. I would never say that about anyone even if I did know them personally. :/ I don't feel the need to have to justify myself to such a cheap comment that's taken an attack on my character, but for your information IF is my second home - as lame as that may sound. I'm in touch with a select few individuals outside IF. And believe it or not people do give some great advice here. Sure, I'm an attention seeker if that's what you want to term me as. But aren't you on the same level coming into a thread that you don't want to be a part of and posting a rude comment? I have never done anything to you. Yet, you throw every negative accusation at me. Ok, I'm the devil. Whatever makes you happy.

To the people who genuinely wrote their thoughts: THANK YOU! It means a lot. And yes, I am ok. But still shaken up. Reading your experiences and your thoughts has somewhat relaxed me a bit. I've been talking to my parents, co-workers, and a couple of friends and everyone around me is all about positivity. And that positivity booster really helps.

I'm sure it's normal to be shaken up. Whenever a tragedy/bad experience happens - one tends to replay the last moments/moments of the incident. I hope you are okay and are not injured.
