The dinner scene was beautiful, not overplayed at all. Preet is making efforts to get closer to Ishan and today Rizwan too, became Ishan and took a step forward. It wasn't cheesy at all, but realistic and romantic. Their awkward shyness turned into easy and typical husband wife conversation over dinner. Preet lit up as only a wife who has lovingly prepared a meal for her husband would, when Ishan loved the meal. She looked so happy and satisfied as only a wife would :) The shyness being overcome, the intimate steps they took towards each other were an unspoken word for the love they have for each other. I like that the love in this relationship comes first before attraction, which is what makes it unique.
The in laws arriving unannounced is plain weird, but it comes with the territory of TV soaps. Of course I understand that they want to know about Kavya, but they didn't even come when they heard Meghna died, so why all of a sudden now? And now Ishan has moved on with a new person, and Kavya is 5-6 years old. The family should have been more cautious in suddenly making these new rishtas without keeping in mind the sensitive nature of Ishan, Preet and Kavya's lives and bonds with each other. I know this is only to bring more focus on Rizwan and his identity fraud, but, the sister is already getting on my nerves, with the precap where she chooses to go on about her dead sister, who she did not get in touch with all these years, even when she died. Poor Preet has to bear a lot in the coming weeks, all her insecurities being tested. But, the hope is, she will slowly realize that Ishan loves only her, it can only lead to him confessing, when pushed into the corner between the dead wife he never had and the woman he loves. Looking forward to that. Why didn't he just tell her she is the only one today? Rizwan never loved Meghna, so why didn't he just tell Preet, that she is the only wife that matters now and he is her husband. ??? What stopped him?
Rizwan is going to have the toughest time now, with saali grilling him. I was wondering if his baba and gang were so scrutinous to choose Hooda family and got so much info on them, and were so spot on about putting Rizwan there, why didn't they make him lose his memory post accident, so he wouldn't have to deal with his past? He could just pretend he doesn't remember Meghna then. :P LOL Just wondering.
The dinner scene was my favorite! <3 Such a unique couple they are, parents first, husband and wife later and last lovers. It's an interesting take on love after marriage and Mona and Iqbal are seamless as Preet and Ishan. :P Special mention to whoever picks the songs for the situations in the show. Khamoshiyan was perfect today! And Kabira is such an apt theme song for them.
