There are people who loved and still love Arun Kohil

And same with Gurmeet

Both got critical acclaims too

And I am sure Ashu will have his share of critical acclaims

And will make his own impression of Ram in viewers mind

Lets not hurt other actors fan

1. Want to see how ramayan looks from Sita's perspective. Need it to be precise n well etched.

2. Do not want to see any dragging of the story.

3. Looking forward to the Swayamvar sequences. The writer says there will be romance...so waiting to see how they treat it.

Basically I want the show to stick to its premise and the detailing but I would also like it to go in depth and help us understand the intricacies of the characters, their decisions and more of an insight into them.

I want to see how ramayan looks from sita's POV.

I have been deeply involved with Mahabharat for the past years, and I really want to know about Ramayan. After Draupadi, it is Ma Sita, who is my favourite.

One thing I want to see...is depiction of REAL facts. We both know, how Mahabharat went 😆, so this time, I would want depiction of REAL facts. Creative liberty is fine, as that enhances the story but it should not make the character too dramatic.

Things, I dont want to see:

Overglorification of any character and blackwashing of characters like Ravan and Kaikeyi. I am glad that they have shown Kaikeyi positive so far. I hope they stick to the fact, and show the characters as they were, without any whitewashing and blackwashing.

Over-dramatic scenes...Dont want mantra-jaap at every scene. While I love the mantras, too much of it makes the serial very unrealistic.

As much as I love bold women, I want Ma Sita to be depicted like she was. They dont need to borrow traits from Draupadi such as being progressive, curious, etc to make her more dynamic. Both Ma Sita and Draupadi are great and different...I hope they stay true to her character.


My most favourite scene is Sita's going back to her Mother. It's heart-wrenching, and in a way, it was suicide, but Ma Sita showed the ultimate form of dignity, by refusing to go back to the man, who had once left her alone. As much as I am confused about her succumbing to suicide, her dignity and silent resilience intimidates me.

^^ I wouldn't say Sita going back to Earth was suicide. The word 'suicide' has a very dark, ugly connotation to it, and Sita never ended her life because she no longer wanted to live. Her returning to Goddess Earth was a stand (not against Ram, whom she loved and who loved her equally) against society, to teach them the harm of gossiping and tarnishing the reputation of an innocent person.

Also, Sita never died. When she returned to Goddess Earth, she shed her human form and used paatal lok as a portal to return to Vaikunta. Gods do not commit suicide. Lakshman and Ram too left the world in a similar way, by shedding their bodies in the Sarayu river and returning to Vaikunta.

This is the problem I have with treating these characters as mere humans and forgetting their divine origins. We have to remember that they were divine beings also, and discuss likewise.

I hope we will have discussions in this forum from various versions n only after gathering enough knowledge will I be able to decide whether it was suicide or a way to show the society. At this point I am clueless...

As for divinity...well that is subjective. When I started off I believed that all these characters are divine but gradually with discussion I have decided to see the characters from human angle. I am a believer of God but I see all these characters as human only. So anyway...even if Ma Sita died that day...she is immortal in our hearts n that's wat matters. 😊
