Hey guys, firstly a very happy Diwali to everyone.😊 I am very very happy reading Kavya's post for today's episode. I love how the CVs and the rest of the world, saving a handful of Laksh "ji" fans have accepted and realized SwaSan's potential and love. Makes me so darn happy!!!😃 Woot Woot!!🥳 "THE SALMAN KHAN" supports SwaSan. Hear that? We've got Salman on our side. Lemme see you guys beat that! *evil laugh* Sallu bhai love you 🤗Finally looks like all our prayers are going to be answered. But then it's a soap , an Indian soap at that. So we will probably have to spend loads of cribbing nights before we actually witness a confession from our mahaan devi. So I thought why wait, when you can make one up?
And thus the decision to write this one. I had actually meant for it to be an OS but looks like it's going to end up being a TS at least. Couldn't stop writing😆 Anyways hope you guys enjoy reading it. It is sort of like a Diwali gift to all my dear SwaSan lovers. We really do deserve a break from all the madness that has been going on in here courtesy you know who. Do let me know what you thought of it but most importantly enjoy reading it.
Few things that I'd like to explain before you start reading it
Manga-is a Japanese word referring both to comics and Cartooning. "Manga" as a term used outside Japan refers specifically to comics originally published in Japan.
Anime-a style of Japanese film and television animation, typically aimed at adults as well as children.
Part -1 | Perceptions and Tragedies
~~I must have loved you for years, only I was such a stupid fool, I didn't know it. ~~
As she saw him standing behind the podium , donning bright red robes over his sharp- looking blue suit, addressing 4000 odd students graduating out of Symbiosis Institute of Management studies, one of the best Business Schools in the country, she couldn't help but be proud. She noticed how the students were holding on to each of his words. The fact that they truly admired him was a given. It was no small feat to be included in Time's top 10 young entrepreneurs of India. Sanskaar Maheshwari had become an inspiration to the entire country and one heck of a Businessman to be reckoned with. She never could understand how his world worked since she had always been fascinated with arts and history rather than numbers and facts. But what she did get was the passion. It had always helped her bridge the gap between them and complement him in a way, only she believed that she could. She had finally accepted and realized the fact that they truly were made to complete one another. A sudden surge of happiness ran through her every single time she thought about it. She did not understand why she had been so blind to it before, to have ignored and depraved herself of this wonderful feeling. A feeling that only he could elicit.
She had been spending a lot of time thinking about how she could confess to him ever since that night after Karwa Chauth. She had tried multiple times but could never do it. She remembered this one time when Sanskaar had returned from work.
*********************************************************************
She came down running taking two steps at a time to get to him. Sanskaar had smiled looking at her act kiddish . It gave her immense joy getting to see one his perfect smiles. Giving him a huge smile of her own in return she had asked ,
"Chai lao tumhare liye?"
He had nodded his head in response saying "Mein change karke upar balcony pe wait karunga".
She hurried off to the kitchen in order to make him her special adrak wala chai which had always been his favorite. She was wondering how she could tell him without in turn getting embarrassed when a brilliant idea popped into her brain. It was perfect she thought smiling to herself as she entered the balcony with his Chai.
Sanskaar had been busy reading his manga so he didn't notice her coming in. Shaking her head at him, she held the cup of chai in front of him. When he finally noticed that she had arrived, he quickly accepted the cup apologizing ,
"Sorry Swara, woh maine dekha nahi"
"Hmmm ...adrak wali chai, my favorite. Thank you" he said while sipping it.
It was time to put her plan into action.
"Tum Kya padh rahe ho Sanskaar?" she asked pretending to be interested.
He stopped sipping his chai and looked at her surprised. "Tum seriously jaanna chahti ho?"
Her narrowing her eyes at him in mock anger did not stop him from teasing her,
"Matlab isse pehle to tumne kabhi interest nahin dikhayi na isliye, woh kya kehti thi.. Bacchon wali cartoons or comics ", huffing at her benightedness.
"Agar tum batana nahin chate ho to mat batao" she pretended to storm off.
"Arey suno na Swara, theek hain batata hoon " he announced managing to grasp her hand.
"Toh Sunao..I wanna know what it was that had got you so immersed into it, that you didn't even notice me coming in" she demanded
Shaking his head at her, he narrated.
"Inuyasha is a tale of true love, friends, family and of course my favorite part-lots of action", he declared grinning at her as she rolled her eyes.
"Tum kya advertise kar rahe ho?", she asked causing him to chuckle in response
"Suno na, it comes with the flow. Can't help it", he told her giving her the "you wont get it" look causing her to roll her eyes at him again.
"Theek hain sunao apni epic tale", she retorted.
"It's amazing really, it's almost like you are reading a book but better if you know what I mean. Anyways.. So a very long story short , Inuyasha is a half-blood demon something like half-blood in HP but worse and Kagome is a human girl who is also supposed to be the reincarnation of this very powerful priestess called Kikiyo. Inuyasha's dad , a pure demon was the big badass head honcho of the demon world and his mom a human. Sheshomaru is his half brother, also a pure blood who hates having to call a half-blood his brother and also holds Inuyasha's mother responsible for his father's death since it was her who made him stop feeding on humans. A few hundred years back, Kikiyo and Inuyasha were lovers and then she died under the impression that he betrayed her and sealed him to a tree. Flash forward some hundred years, kagome manages to release him from the seal and their journey to fight against the evil and put a stop to everything truly evil and avenge Kikiyo's death begins. It's awesome you should give it a try seriously. And again, it is not a comic designed for kids as you so intelligently put", he managed to finish.
"That was small?", she asked quirking her eyebrow at him.
He shrugged. "It contains a total of 559 chapters and had enough story to cover at least some 200 episodes of Anime".
"Okay... but you cannot possibly think it can be compared to the good old fashioned way of telling amazing stories" she retorted.
"Of course I can. They are equally brilliant, if not better. Do you know how much of work and thought goes into making a manga?" he argued
"Nope, but no matter what you have to say, books are always going to be the best way to tell a story" , she argued
"I'm so not going to argue with someone who has absolutely no clue about Anime or manga" he retorted. She opened her mouth to retort when she remembered why she had started the stupid argument in the first place. She realized this was her chance.
"Whatever ! Accha chalo just to make it even , lets pick a topic that both of us can argue about", she suggested
Sanskaar looked at her weird "Hain? Tum theek ho Swara? Yeh argue karne ka shauk kabse padgaya tumhe?"
She moved her chair in front of him and managed to snatch the manga away from his hand. "Aaj se! Kyun koi problem hain? Kya tum hamesha gusse rehte ho manga aur anime mein. You are so boring Sanskaar. You always ignore me", she complained pouting.
He looked at her incredulously. "Swara tum yeh kya bol rahin ho? Since when do I ever ignore you? Even if I try to read them, you manage to always snatch it away from me just like you did now. Anime dekhna to door ki baat. Tumhari stupid serials ka itna aadat hogaya hain ki main bhi sochne laga hun ki kal us stupid sa heroine kya faisla lene wali hain. God help me, I have completely lost it!" he said exasperated making her chuckle at his declaration.
"Theek hain theek hain, I was just pulling your leg but seriously let's talk about something else na?" she begged him.
"Pata nahin girls ko bak bak karne ka itna shauk kyun hain" she heard him mutter to himself.
"What did you just say?" she asked
"Kuch nahin. Nothing at all. So tell me Ms. Swara , what do you want to discuss about", he asked .
"Gone with the wind" she declared happily making him roll his eyes.
"Okayyy...why the sudden interest?" he enquired
"I just finished reading it and wanted to discuss the ending with you", she answered
"What do you have in mind exactly?" he asked her genuinely interested. She knew that it was one of his favorites.
"About whether or not Scarlett deserves a chance to win Rhett back", she told him.
"Hmmm , you are asking whether or not I think she deserves a happy ending, right?" he asked while she nodded her head implying yes.
"That would depend on your definition of happy ending I guess. Scarlett and Rhett both are such complicated and layered characters. I admire Scarlett's courage and her immense strength that helped her overcome all the hardships and heart breaks, but I equally pity her since she couldn't find happiness in anything, really. But does that make me want to wish that she got Rhett back? Not really. It is how it was meant to be", he told her.
"Yeh kya baat hui Sanskaar? I wanted to discuss their love story. What about Rhett then. Didn't he deserve a happy ending?" she asked him stubbornly refusing to accept it
"Swara you should know that Rhett himself wasn't exactly a gentleman, far from it as he himself admitted and proved on numerous occasions. I enjoyed and admired the fact that he was such a practical and real person. He was the smartest guy around , never afraid to speak his mind, always ensuring that he made the best use of a situation. A perfect business man. So you can see why I can't help but admire those qualities in him. He still is one of my favorites. But he had his flaws too. Its obvious that he was a real brute. He was too stubborn and arrogant to truly confess his feelings for her. He instead chose to be bullish and forceful. Frankly, I cannot respect a man that could do something like that especially to a woman he loves no matter what the circumstance", he declared.
"But he was afraid to loose her Sanskaar, he couldn't help but marry her. He didn't exactly force her. She was always the only person that he loved and adored" , she defended.
"Of course I realize that Swara. Therein lies the tragedy. It's a pity really. Don't get me wrong Swara. I truly admire his love for her. I believe Rhett's love for her was truly one of a kind. If only he wasn't such a pig head and so full of pride. I guess he did try though, in his own crude way, to tell her how much she meant to him but Scarlett had been too blind to see it. In her stupid stubbornness to make Ashley hers at any cost she had stopped at nothing, not even at a chance at her one true love. She was a complete idiot to not realize how she had mistaken glitter to gold", he explained
"How apt are those lines to describe the relationship between Ragini and I" she thought as he continued.
"So really Swara, I cannot see how they would have made it work", he concluded
"But Sanskaar, how can you not see it? Rhett obviously loved her and though it was way too late , Scarlett confessed to loving him too. I can't for the life of me understand how she didn't see it before though. That incredible idiot! I mean, even Melanie could see how he worshiped her. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that Rhett was innocent, but he was always there lending her a helping hand whenever she needed it the most. Always! They deserved a happy ending, at least Rhett does!", she argued adamant.
"You don't understand Swara. I was only trying to explain why I can't see it happening. You see I never really saw it as a love story between the two. It was of course Scarlett's story, but love only Rhett did. Strictly only in my opinion, I believe Scarlett never truly understood love to have loved either Ashley or Rhett. Ashley was her blind obsession, something she saw as hers and was snatched away from her. Even in the end when she realizes how important Rhett had been in her life. It was for selfish reasons. Did she truly love him? I have my doubts. She also declares that she would have him back in her life, just like all the other men that she sought. Whether or not that was a statement made in despair or over confidence I don't know, but it clearly shows how she still doesn't get it. You see Swara, a person can love someone unconditionally, but when you test their love repeatedly the way Scarlett did, it really could do some permanent damage which I think was exactly what happened with him. Let's be practical. How long would you think he could stand her running behind another man? I truly believe that Rhett was not in love with her anymore which is why I think he would never come back. Now do you understand, the tragedy was not their separation in a physical sense. It was the loss of love."
"So according to you, Scarlett did not ever love Rhett?" she asked or rather stated in despair clearly hating where their discussion had led them to. She had wanted to confess to him with the help of the story. Make him understand how she saw herself a tiny bit like Scarlett and how he was her Rhett. She now knew how wrong she was to have even thought about comparing Sanskaar to Rhett. She never had thought about Rhett that way,a brute as he had so eloquently put. She had never expected him to have interpreted the story the way he did. He didn't even think of them as lovers. It had only been Rhett that loved Scarlett. A one-sided love. She had never before thought of it that way, but now that she was forced to, she saw how it sort of actually made sense. It made her depressed. "What was she supposed to do now? Why did she have to choose this book?" she cursed at herself. Another lost opportunity she thought dejectedly.
"Swara?! Kahan kogayi ? Ab itna bhi mat socho.. dekho ab tumhara discussion session katam hogaya ho to andar chale? Raat hogayi hain tumhe tand lag jayegi" he told her ushering her in.
~~Did it ever occur to you that even the most deathless love could wear out?~~

The quotes within ~~ , ~~ are edited(cut down) versions of the very famous lines by Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler (in that order) from Gone with the Wind. Couldn't just not quote them after everything that has been discussed now, could I?😉
