Of course, it's not important who were friends 50 years ago.
But TBH, I find it silly when SRK says he belonged to a middle class family. It's like he is fooling people.

Here is the link of the video. I couldn't find it on youtube.
https://www.facebook.com/Timesnow/videos/10156257892045311/

In one of his interviews SRK had also mentioned(unintentionally) that that his father was close to Gandhians and was friend with MLAs & MPs.

Now I don't have any problem with all this.

But he often plays 'I am from middle class' card. In some his interviews, he said there were days when his father/mother would add water to Dal so whole family could eat, they would sit on road side as they didn't have money to see films.

Now I am not denying this completely, there might be some days when his family would be going through financial crisis and he had to go through such days. But by any means, his family wasn't middle class that they would have to go through Dal problems and would have to sit on the road side.

So, my point is why does he keep saying 'I am from a middle class family'. Clearly, he isn't from an ordinary family.

I haven't met any middle class family in my life who is very close to any film star or have connection with big MPs, MLAs or ruling parties.

So, isn't it better if he accepts that he had no financial problems and was from a rich family.

Also I think Accepting that he was from a rich family(not super rich he is today) wouldn't take away from his success. What he has achieved is still commendable. It's just that he should stop saying 'I am from a middle class family'.

SRK's dad was a freedom fighter, a part of Nationalist Movement for Independance before 1947, thats how his dad knew MPs, MLAs etc. In the period just after Independance, most of the MLAs, MPs, etc were the ones who fought for India's Independance.
SRK's dad died of cancer when SrK was 11 yrs old, his mother brought up the 2 kids on her own so yes, there may have been periods of financial hardships. He grew up in Rajender Nagar in Delhi which is a middle class neighbourhood but he attended one of the best schools in Delhi. In those days, school fees were not so expensive.

AB's parents were friends with Indira but he struggled a lot and faced monetary problem early in his career.Money doesn't always equate relation. We all can have some influential or rich friend. How does it matter?

Why would he own up to something that isn't even remotely true. LOL Like the members above said, money doesn't not necessarily equate to connections. You don't have to be rich to know 'famous' people.

Sallu ain't married so not qualified to be uncle. What if he is a few years older than his dad. 😛

SRK is uncle since she hasn't worked with him. 😆

There's a term in Punjabi for elder men who are't married, a chadha. They are usually ridiculed in jaagos. Uncle or not, I think SRK is in a good place in his life.
