Disturbed Alia Bhatt Flies Off To UAE For Introspection

The only thing bad about success is that it makes you unable to face failures.

Seems, that's what's happening to Alia Bhatt.

The actress, we hear, has not taken Shaandaar's box-office debacle well. While interacting with the media at the opening ceremony of the Mumbai Film Festival (MAMI), she had put on a brave front and said, "Of course, there is disappointment. It's a first for me. I'll take this in my stride and move on."

But Mahesh Bhatt's daughter, we have learnt, is finding it difficult to move on. A couple of days ago, 9xe had told you how the Highway actress had suddenly gone completely silent (Now, Shaandaar Audience Tearing Seats And Demanding Refund!, October 29).

More proof of Alia's disappointment emerged last night, when she gave a Halloween party at Four Seasons hotel a miss.

The bash was attended by many Bollywood celebrities, including Sonam Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and Varun Dhawan, to name a few.

Alia too was expected to attend the do. Sources close to her say she even got dressed up for the occasion and put her pic on Instagram.

However, she changed her mind and dashed off to boyfriend Sidharth Malhotra's place. And from there, she headed straight to the airport to catch a flight to UAE, all alone.

Sid, we are sure, tried to pep up Alia, but that didn't work either.

Sources say Alia has told all her loved ones - parents, friends, Sidharth - to let her be for the time being. She believes a change of environment is necessary to get over her life's first box-office dud.

We understand, girl. And we are sure, with time, you'll emerge stronger.

On side note,its so vastly different the way Sid and Alia chose to handle their first failures.Unlike Alia,Sid doesnt even have the biggest projects lined up,still he took everything in his stride.Shows how incompatible they are together.I just hope these dating rumours are PR planted and not serious by any means

She's such a drama queen but I'm glad the film failed. It put her in her place, everyone is dispensable, you can be replaced in a heartbeat.

I'm not surprised. I knew she was going to take this badly. Alia tries to appear to appear very strong and tough, but I've always got the feeling that she's actually very fragile and sensitive.

Its obvious all this is PR drama. Alia is primarily a PR created hype. Whenever her image goes for a toss the whole Dharma machinery comes into action. This time its Amul Baby Alia in depression tactic.

She must have more films than ANY actress currently...and all decent sounding films on paper with good filmmakers. Papa KJo will also come back in a few weeks and arrange for some more films. Ridiculous.
