Members here please help me.
Long ago I came to know in Marathi wedding brides wear yellow saree in the initial part of the wedding ceremony and then change into green saree (which is gifted by her in-laws) during mangalsutra ritual.
In serials marathi brides are shown wearing yellow saree through out the wedding or some other colour other than yellow/green !? 😕 So what I've seen didn't match with what I've heard. But in IPKKND-EBP it turned out to be true! (Shlok-Astha Wedding)
Do each community (like Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya etc.) use different colours for bridal saree? And how many times saree is changed during marathi wedding & when? Anyone from here please clarify.
Also why the brides's mother is not allowed to see her daughter garlanding? (during Mangalashtak)
