GooMutra - like what the hell is it even (thanks to the forum I came to know)

This is actually disgusting!!

I have never heard of such a thing until today, maybe that's because I am lucky to be living in a place that does not have this regressive thinking in the society..I did not even know what it was or meant until I came onto the forum, can I honestly ask..do such things take place/used to take place? or is this something made up? is it a religious ritual that I may not know of? (sorry about the numerous questions, I just cant seem to fathom this ideology)

I know Tashan-E-Ishq makers are doing this drama for ratings..and I know majority have pleasure watching torture on Indian TV, but seriously this thinking needs to change, daughter-in-laws are not scapegoats..I am not just saying this for Tashan-E-Ishq, I am saying it generically..and if such things still take place then I am done!!

Ciao

...they may be taking place...but not in families likes sarnas and tanejas...and if it does...then I don't think girls who comes from privileged families will not take such... not born and bought up in India...but travel quite often to meet extended family or work...I don't think people whom I know will take such..

agree.
dont know it its old age ritual or if its still practiced today but they should stop showing such things or atleast highly condemn them instead of showing this.
its highly regressive thinking.
i am not trying to offend any religion or ritual but this doesnt even seem like a ritual its disgusting.
