Hi everyone..

Wishing all of you here a very Happy Dussehra / Vijayadashami / Durga Puja / Bijoya. :)
May this day be the harbinger of success, prosperity and good times in your life.

Navratri is one of the most auspicious times in the Hindu calendar. It marks the beginning of a long festive season.

An article has been posted regarding the same. It contains a short writeup and some paintings and modern day celebration pictures from Rajasthan, including the famous celebrations at Udaipur palace.

Includes 2 pages/paintings from the Mewar Ramayana also.

Hey Abhay, enjoyed the post every bit. Thanks a lot. Very nice of you to have made this post.
Wish you and all my friends here a very happy Dusshera.

We call it Ayudha puja (weapons/tools) Pooja. On this day like Rajputs every other clan also does a similar puja to the tools of their livelihood- be it cows, plough, machinery in various factories. Students worship their books. Even cars buses autos and the like are offered Puja. It's a day one recognizes the value of their respective tools in their life and grateful to God.
On the 10the day (Dasami), its a day of victory/ success and people use the tools kept in puja on the Navami day.

Its nice to see the Rajput celebration as I was only imagining Maharana celebrating it all with his dear loyal subjects. Abhay- any picture at all of Maharana celebrating? Would love to see it. I know its a difficult ask.

Thanks so much again.
