Hello folks! š
I know its extremely heartbreaking to actually realise that we won't be having any more episodes of Reporters today onwards but then all good (best) things come to an end and so did this show. This show had become a part of my life and I got hooked to it after like a really really long time. The last show I watched did not have a satisfying end to its storyline and the viewer in me was left starved for a necessary closure and my otp heart was broken so so bad. :'( š
Reporters was like a breath of fresh air that just came and RULED! š³
Though my first reason for watching this show was Rajeev as I had been his fan since I was in my teens (thanks to Mr.Sujal Garewal), but slowly and steadily the fabulous cast made me fall in love and how! Today when I look back I feel sad for not being able to watch Khalid or Baby or Richa or Malvika (besides KaYa ofcourse) anymore!
Anyways coming to the topic,
I may not be as articulate as some of the fabulous writers in this forum, but I would certainly try my best to write a piece of acknowledgement for Mr.Kabir Sharma. š³
Here it is~
Dear Kabir,
I know its time to bid you a goodbye but we can never bid goodbyes to heroes, right? Yes, a HERO!
You have been a HERO in every sense of the term for your unfazed determination and enviable zeal to fight for the right. How many of us can really stand rock-solid facing the truth and ready to bear its consequences knowing we might lose out on everything we ever had?
Not many Kabir, not many!
And, that's exactly where you have made your mark. Not always have you taken the right decisions but then that's okay. We are humans, we aren't perfect and we never should try to be one. Cause we are bound to make mistakes and make those mistakes the driving source to nurture ourselves into better beings. And, you have done exactly that. You have made mistakes but you have owned up to them. The fact you stood up when you knew you were wrong and did NOT try to defend yourself is what made you this beautiful man that you are today. Not everyone can own up to their shortcomings but you did. And that's what makes you a HERO.
I know, being a journalist must not have been easy for you; it must have challenged your ethics and morals at every step and demanded you to be manipulative and shrewd to ensure your sustenance, but then who isn't manipulative these days?
But still, there is a difference here. You have been manipulative for the right, for ensuring that justice should never lose at the hands of politics and power. And trust me, its better this way than being naive and goody-two-shoes all the frigging time. That's not real, is it? And I'm glad that you were as real as it could get. I hope we do have people like you in reality, I seriously do!
I know people might have questioned your morality when the Tarini issue was brought to light, but you never questioned yours. You knew you had committed a mistake and it was baseless whining about it and blaming someone else for the same. What you did after this is what won my heart. You did not submerge yourself in a pool of guilt, instead took responsibility of Anuraag and Tarini and tried your best to give them what they deserved! How many can do that?
Not many!
You would find plenty of people pointing a finger at you, demeaning your ethics and questioning your conscience and morality, but very few or rather a negligible percentage of the masses would try to even understand what effect it might have had on you. I'm glad you did not let these people govern your actions and decisions and did your best to answer back yo your conscience. A man's strength is his conscience and you have never let that down.
Even in the Sudhir Kashyap case, your actions were guided by your sense of security for the person who meant the world to you. It might have been different had you told Ananya about the truth but never feel you cheated her. Cause, you were a HERO for her father and you are a HERO for her too. Sometimes we do reach a vulnerable state when rationality ceases and what guides us is our emotions, the feeling of losing a beloved and trust me that absolutely humane. Kabir, you are a human at the end of the day and you cannot be flawless all the frigging time. Yet, what makes you perfect amidst all these imperfections is your flawless heart. The heart that knows how to love, the heart that knows how to forgive! These two are the biggest attributes one can ever be blessed with and Kabir, God has blessed you with both!
You aren't perfect, you're just humane. And trust me, we don't fall for perfections, we fall for the human traits that define our existence.
Thankyou for being what you were. People would come and people would leave, that's the rule of life; but HEROES are immortal. And you are immortalised.
As I end this, I would like to say that you will always be loved and remembered as the man who knew how to win hearts. š³
Love,
A Kabir Sharma Fangirl.š³
