Hi Ria,
Like always this update is no less than intriguing for a reader to comprehend, it has all the elements that a fine-tuned writer would showcase.
The starting bit is captivating, I like how you flaunt (if I may) technical jargon and ensure that anyone unfamiliar with it is able to see how it relates to the narration, the entwining of concepts is wonderful.
I admit, most of the time I reread your write-ups, it takes me time to fully understand it and always enjoy doing that. One not only gets to enhance their vocabulary on a large scale but also notice the flow of writing, the blend of ideas, it is all very enticing.
In a gist, the character's life until now is described (from his point of view) which is helping build up the plot, it is so fresh and unique. Arnav has no complex thoughts, is straight forward when it comes to imagining/recollecting things. Lavanya on the other hand, is a girly girl (if that is a word) and seeing them bond, share 3 years of their lives together is normal, which is something he wanted to feel, as in, fit in.
I like how he is practical, career-oriented, isn't afraid to dream big, is aware that he may be different as an individual and uses that to his advantage.
What I love about your description of the characters is that, they are realistic to the core, your efforts are always visible when it comes to tiny/minute details, be it any situation/instance. š
So Arnav moves to Noo York at 22, he did exceedingly well at his internshipšš¼, does Ms K Gupta happen to be a lawyer there at a big firm? I have a feeling that they have met in the past and not just at her current office.
So what I would like to know more in the future is what kind of a family was he raised in, when do we get to meet his family, how did he meet Aman etc.. The layers of depth you add to just the protagonists is simply superb!
I am sure many of your fans/readers would be excited to know more about the similarities/dissimilarities between Ms K Gupta and Jyotisch ji as well.
