It was a nice episode but I didn't like the same regressive concept.
Let me first apologize that I never appreciated the idea of Buddu babu staying with Bhagwandas and family. I by all means believe that every woman should inherit her parent's property just as the men do but since we are celebrating new age, the relationships and their chemistry should also be modified. Buddu babu stays in that house as a part of the family and yet expects all the luxuries of a sasural. Even Bhagwandas acknowledges it by saying that, ' Hum damad ko saraakhon par rakhte hai'. If that is the case then he should be treated like a guest only. Why is he in the house liiving like a family member ?
In today's episode, Buddu is shown having an affair with his colleague. When Rani confronts them she is insulted by the other woman while Buddu watches his wife being bullied by his girl friend. Rani slaps her and agitated by Rani he wants to hit her only to be stopped by Bobby. He would have certainly slapped her in public.
The scene then shifts to the house. Rani is shown accepting Buddu's relationship with that woman so as to stop her husband from divorcing her. The father- in - laws literally begs for mercy. The worst scene according to me. THe father who allowed him to stay in the house like his son is shown at his feet begging for another chance for Rani.
Papaji wants Bhagwandas to know about it but Bobby knowing how blind he is for Buddu babu refuses to inform him. Bobby makes a plan instead where Buddu is introduced to a foreigner who actually is his own wife in a modern avatar. Meanwhile, Buddu is tired with Lovely ( his girlfriend) and obviously is in love with this new woman in his life. When the truth is out Buddu understands his mistake and Rani easily forgives him saying, 'Aap to mere pati hai... ' Although she says she won't be able to forgive another mistake in her life but how easy is that for her to accept her pati because he is parmeshwar. No punishment for this man and then the whole family will again do this 'saraakhon par' thing because that is the riwaaz of the society. SInce the show is based on Godly things, don't show women as doormats. Shivji in fact himself is a good example of gender equality. He is the god who has an Ardhanareshwar rup to explain how he is helpless without his Shakti.
Overall, comedy wise it was a good episode for sure but rather regressive content wise.
