Actress Katrina Kaif is cutting down on her workload and has in fact turned down several offers, according to a report in Bollywood Hungama.
A source told Bollywood Hungama, "She opted out of the film Kung Fu Yoga' with Jackie Chan after negotiations had almost reached closure. Now the role has gone to Ileana d' Cruz. Katrina also said no to major films like Rohit Shetty's Dilwale', Sanjay Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani' and Ashutosh Gowariker's Mohenjo Daro' only because they looked like time-consuming projects."
A close friend of the actress apparently confirmed that Katrina Kaif is doing fewer films, but did not talk about any upcoming marriage plans. "She is definitely cutting down on her roles, though we don't know about marriage."
Most actresses tend to sign up for fewer select films once they tie the knot and Katrina's choices have led to speculation about her marriage to rumoured boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor.
Katrina Kaif, who was last seen in Kabir Khan's Phantom' opposite Saif Ali Khan, currently has two projects in hands - Fitoor' and Baar Baar Dekho'. Interestingly, in both films Katrina is paired opposite younger actors - Aditya Roy Kapur and Siddharth Malhotra. Was it a conscious decision to work with younger men?
"Its simple arithmetic. She can't do more films with Ranbir Kapoor since real-life pairs are boring onscreen. Salman and Akshay Kumar are out of bounds for Katrina as they're saturated as a screen pair. There is nothing with Shah Rukh or Aamir for Katrina. It has to be leading men she hasn't worked with before. Aditya Roy Kapur and Sidharth Malhotra fit in well with her current plans to do some strong parts before getting married. After Kareena Kapoor got married she too was being paired with younger heroes like Imran Khan. It's to let the world know, a hot-and-happening leading lady's glamour quotient and the level of desirability have not gone down after marriage," said Katrina's friend.
