Dil Chahata Hia as an album is quite good but the title track of Kal Ho Na Ho is of some other level ...best of what javid akhtar can write

"Har ghari badal rahi hai roop zindagi
chown hai kabhi kabhi hai dhoop zindagi
Har pal yahan jee bhar jiyo
Jo hai sama kal ho na ho"

bhai more than the music, its the lyrics actually .. i think there has to be a fair balance in the kind of lyrics one writes for a particular genre of film and how the actor onscreen carries that song .. i dislike how every actor does a honey singh rap, despite not fitting into that zone, for example SRK and Ajay were such blunders with Honey singh onscreen, whereas Salman and Akki carries those rap very well ..

I listen to a lot of old music from 60s 70s and all. Just have a look at the yt videos. Today's music sounds great when it first comes out and is playing everywhere.
Fast forward a couple of weeks and it's nowhere. It sounds stale already and few people listen to it again.

sensibility is the key word here. In the age of honey singh I find it an urgent need that old directors come up with their sensibilties. Maybe then the music industry will churn out better songs. One can hope here.
The song wasn't that bad. Infact the lyrics were pretty bad but the music was fine. Ram leela wont play trance music or I hope they haven't started yet 🤔

Lol how do you think the songs are made . The director has the situations and tells the composer . The composer can't come up with the songs without being briefed on the film .

Old is gold. Current music cant reach the soul & grace of old songs. These days songs have no meaning. Most of them content double meaning and vulgarity.

The directors know better which music's and lyrics will go well with their movie. You cant expect hip pop music in family movie.
