It depends on an individuals like I think... we are comparing two different generations. Both have their positives and negatives...

arijit singh himself is monotonous singer he sound same in every single song no matter fast or slow romantic sad he sounds same can not modulate his voice according to song 😊 90 was the last era which produced the awesome singers for bollywood likes of kumar sanu sonu nigam and udit narayan even roop kumar rathord...these singers can modulate there vocals to any texture depend on song...modren day singers dont even go well with actor lypsinging to it ...akshey kumar and shahrukh sound so odd lypsnging arijit singh voice its like they are faking but when sonu nigam , udit narayan or shanu sing for them their voice texture suit there face...they were blessed singers and ya old is gold for sure its just music came down to such a level where these monotonous singers are ruling the topcharts now a days which is a pain... good talent now a days can not even enter bollywood music ...there is a difference of singing in one take live recording where a song was dependable only on vocals and singer potential to express ...and in today time where you record a song line by line take many pauses in recording and songs are more dependable on music beats instead of vocals ...

today kids are really unlucky they are fan of yo yo mika lol ...and if old wasnt gold why the heck today arijit singh sang a remake of Sonu Nigam 90's hits "Dewana Tera Tujhe Hi Bulaye" and Ankit tiwari of Sonu Nigam's "Is Kadar Pyar Hai Tumse Ae Humsafar" and i guess Mohit sang "Aye mere humsafar" of Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik.. and recent yo yo did "Dheere dheere se mere zindagi main aana" of kumar shanu ... they were golds that why new lot of singers covering it

What Changing times? Lol. Music is timeless and it is supposed to be that way. Music and beats that fade away in a matter of months, I'd never call such stuff a great piece. Good music is good,.irrespective of time and age they were composed in, be it Rahman's humma, SEL's Koi kahe or Salim sulaiman's avain avain or Amit Trivedi's gal mitthi mitthi or even engine ki seeti for that matter.

How much ever great Sachin Tendulkar is, can anyone forget Don Bradman.. Can we say his inputs are not required in today's cricket anymore ?

I'd pick the album of DCH over KHNH any day. But that's my choice and it's subjective anyway. 😊
