You are strong to react, no matter when you reacted. It's hard to react in such cases, (i feel so as well), because of the initial disbelief, shock, and horror. And it is important to remember you are not at fault at all, and you are not less or marked by this.I say this, because whichever case or degree of such an incident, I think we women inherently have a piece of us that feels like that unconsciously, even though we know it's not true.

Glad you spoke to your good friends about this, and shared it here with us.Sending support, and hugs gurleen. Rab rakha :)

@bold - That means SO much to me. I honestly cannot put it into words but it really does. Thank you so much for saying them.

You are right. Society does play a major role in building this submissive mindset in women and I feel it is hard for us to break free from these shackles and create an identity of our own.

I actually can believe that. Here in Toronto (where I live), we had a situation at university where anonymous threats were made against women and feminists in general.

When the incident happened to me this morning, it was hard for me to take it in and in some ways, still is right now. How is it that these kinds of things are still happening? That too in today's day and age. I had always thought of myself to be removed from that sphere. I know that women are victimized in the world every day and I sympathized with them. But I was never able to fully understand them and today I had just gotten a small fraction of an idea. It is not a pleasant feeling at all and it just makes you feel so dirty.

I sincerely hope you or anyone ever have to go through such a thing.

Wahe Guru ji thode saare de uthe apni meher banaye rakhe.

Yes its hard but not impossible dear. I am shocked that women are facing this all over the world even in countries as developed as Uk or Usa or Canada wherever u look. its happening.
It goes on to tell us no matter how much you are financially developed as a country i you are not morally developed you are nothing.
Its never easy to come to term with this but keep in mind no man ever has the will power that a woman has. If a woman wills herself to stand strong and fight using any medium she deems fit we can make a difference. Thats all i can say. I am so happy to see you being strong here, truly proud of the way you have risen above the situation and instead of cowering you are stronger than before. Rise above it
Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough.
Og mandino.

All the best gurleen. can i call u that?😃 take care.😊
