Balaji's new film song on Kkusum

Kkavyanjali girl Arpita will do the item number

As marketing strategies go, this has to be a pretty good one. Balaji will promote the music of its upcoming film Koi Aap Sa by having Barkha Bisht aka Arpita of Kkavyanjali, perform an item number to one of the songs on its primetime soap Kkusum. Bisht will sizzle to 'Aadat ho chuki hai teri...' from Koi Aap Sa.

Apparently, the production house has spent lavishly on the sets of the song. Says Bisht, "They got swanky bikes and white satin backdrops to make the act look very hip and chic." The song took 18 hours to shoot. "Despite the long schedule, I had a blast shooting for it. I've changed my attire four times in the song. From jeans to flared skirts to leather pants and then a suit, I wear the best of clothes. Also, Balaji allowed me to experiment with lots of make-up and jewellery…everything was upmarket and posh," Bisht says, adding, "I've done item songs before but nothing compared to this."

The actress who made her small screen debut with Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi says she loves dancing. "I don't know how good a dancer I am…but I know that I'm pretty graceful. I've performed for Kkusum in the past as well. But that was sometime ago and it wasn't a solo performance. Back then, we'd performed to a Punjabi number and actress Jassi Kaur gave us company. But this time it is a different concept," she says.
