Two highly anticipated films - Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer Dilwale' starring, and Bajirao Mastani' starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are set to lock horns at the box office on December 18. However, it appears the battle between the two movies has already begun and is getting uglier.
In early August when Deepika released the first look of her upcoming film by captioning #challenge accepted', there were rumours that her Om Shanti Om' co-star Shah Rukh was displeased with her attitude, which the actress later denied. Earlier this month while launching the first song of Bajirao Mastani', the actress reiterated that the two are very different films and that there was enough screens for both the films to come and do well.
However, the producers do not seem to think so. Eros International, the producer behind Bajirao Mastani' has already booked a huge number of single screens for the film in Bombay circuit, Delhi, Rajasthan and many other places in India from December 18 onward. They have also laid the condition that the theatres will not screen any other film for one week, except Bajirao Mastani', an entertainment site reports said.
Apparently, the producers had inkling of Dilwale' releasing on the same day as that of their film in May itself. So when Tanu Weds Manu Returns' released, which was also an Eros production, the distributed the Kangana Ranaut starrer film to the screens on the condition that the theatres would screen only Bajirao Mastani' when it releases.
As per the report, a source close to Eros confirmed that they have blocked many single screens and that it is okay. On the other hand, Shah Rukh's Dilwale' will also not budge from the announced date of its release and King Khan believes that both films will have their audience.
