But something that I have been contemplating over the past few days and I thought I would put a pen to paper (so to speak) and say something about the lesson/s that I have learned over the past 1 to 2 years since I began watching the show that was formerly known as Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.

6. You have to attract the attention of your husband's lecherous boss because he can give you all the financial accoutrements that your husband is unable to provide for you
7. You have to humiliate your husband at all gatherings
8. Turn your very young child against the father
9. Walk out on the 6 month old infant that you gave birth to because a very rozy picture of a life of privilege has been painted by your prospective lover.
10. Be physically intimate with a man for 6 long years because he keeps dangling the carrot of a 5 carat diamond engagement ring and a promise of marriage.
11. However much you love the children of your husband's previous marriage, they can never be considered your children because you have not given birth to them and your DNA/blood does not run through their veins
12. Even if you jump into fire to save those same children when their own biological mother leaves them for dead, DOES NOT give you the status of their mother. You are at best their beloved aunt or a nanny.
13. You are considered worthwhile only if you have a womb strong enough to carry a child. If your womb is not strong enough to carry the baby, then the man who professes to love you to death also tries to belittle your medical affliction.
14. Even if your lovers' business partner molests you / touches your inappropriately, you are appeased by a gift of a diamond bracelet that costs Rs 13 Lakhs.
15. After all the ill's you have done, you should willing to RENT your womb to your ex-husband and his current wife because your ex-husband is desperate to give a GIFT of a child to his current wife BECAUSE SHE IS BARREN, even though she keeps on reiterating that HIS children are more than enough to make her a complete woman.
16. Your husband on the basis of the tremendous trust you have in him will cheat you and clandestinely make you sign documents for a particular medical procedure that you are totally against and refuse to explain himself when evidence of his meetings with his ex wife are brought to the your notice.
17. All your sins are forgiven by the ex-husband because of the SUPREME sacrifice you make for the man and his BARREN CURRENT WIFE, though you have been the main person shouting and taunting from the rooftops that she is a barren woman!
18. Your ex-husband, the man who has been taunting you and insulting you, will forgive you all the hurt that you have caused him, not only will he bring you the flowers that his current wife loves, but will hold your hand and sit and reminisce with you about the birth of your first child!
I am not sure if I am even making any sense in what I have written, but I realized one thing, that I have been leading a very wrong life! I am considered worthy because I have a WORKING WOMB!
Does even shagun deserve a man like raman ? who is now nice to hear only because she has RENTED HER WOMB to him and Ishita so that he can one day walk up to her and say "HONEY! SURPRISE, HERE IS YOUR BABY AND LOOK HOW WONDERFUL SHAGUN IS THAT SHE CARRIED YOUR BABY IN HER WOMB BECAUSE YOU KNOW, YOU ARE BARREN AND WERE UNABLE TO CARRY YOUR OWN BABY AND BY THIS I HAVE GIVEN HER ONE MORE ARROW IN HER ARSENAL TO TAUNT YOU FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE"
