Deepika in Cocktail or Deepika in Piku?

Most people in real life and on this forum as well feel these two are her best performances. The debate is which perf. did YOU prefer? I loved her in both, but for me I would pick Cocktail because I saw a new Deepika in that movie. She blew my mind. Angst, vulnerability, love, anger, betrayal...she conveyed all these emotions and more in Cocktail.

This scene is just one of many which made me see her in a new light.

I guess Piku is a better movie...in terms of being a feel-good movie and Deepika was a natural in that. it id not seem she was acting. She brought out the middle-class ethos and her eyes...wow! they just did the talking in most scenes.

So which performance would you root for?

Disclaimer: i loved her in all her 2013 movies, but felt none were as good as her perf. in Cocktail and Piku.

Cocktail was Deepu's career high performance. From that movie onwards she jump started her career. Before Cocktail she was nothing.

Deepika in Piku for me.

IDK why but I feel DP was overrated in Cocktail.

I would say Piku.. Cocktail is kind of mainstream Indian cinema. But piku is hatke. I like her in piku more..

Neither.. Imo Deepika in YJHD was her best.. Naina is love <3

Veronica, Piku and Meenama comes close second.. Ill rate Leela even below Shantipriya.. Naina should have won those awards instead.. I love how I can remember her current characters, shows that she really put in alot of efforts after her lows.. Minus all the baggage she carries with her pr drama, she is quite admirable for her guts.. I like her..
