Chapter 3

Khushi walked down from stairs when she saw Mrs.Raizada was already in kitchen, preparing breakfast, she hurriedly came to her.

"Oh finally you got time to came down." She rudely said.

"I... I am sorry aunty." Khushi apologized.

"I don't need your sorry. Your father in law and your Arnav will come for breakfast anytime, so now let me work."

"May... May I help you?"

"No thanks."

Khushi felt hurt, she knew it will take some time to accept her, she silently walked out when Nani stopped her "Khushi is everything alright?"

"Yes. Yes Nani."

Then Nani made her sit on chair, when she saw her injured hand, "Khushi how did you hurt your hand?"

Khushi quickly hide her hand, "Nothing nani. It was just a small cut. It will be cure soon."

"Khushi I know nothing is going well between you and chote but please give him some time, I know he will accept you." Khushi smiled slightly.

Just then Arnav walked down and grab a sit, "Maa my breakfast. I am getting late for office!!"

"Office?? Are you going office today chote??" Nani asked surprised.

"Yes." He replied.

"What is this chote? Yesterday only you have got married and today you are going office. At least..." But she was interrupted, "What the... Just stop this nonsense Nani, marriage was over. Now please don't expect me to sit at home and celebrate this marriage for moths." He said outrageously.

"Maa... Where is my breakfast?" He shouted.

"Okay fine. But you have to go somewhere else before your office and it's final. I don't want to hear any arguments about this topic." Nani strictly said, without any choice Arnav shook his head, Khushi was hearing their conversation silently.

Ohh!! Wow. Mr.Devil accepted without any argue. Not bad.

After finishing his breakfast, Arnav looked at Nani, "Now tell me where I have to go?"

"You have to drop Khushi at her place for the Pag Phera ritual." She declared when Khushi looked at him shockingly.

"What the... Nani you know her house is in the opposite way to my office. It will take time." Arnav excused.

"I already told you I don't want to hear any argue. You are going there." Nani declared.

"But maa, he has meetings." Mrs.Raizada interrupted.

"Do I talking with you? No right? Then Keep quiet." She sternly said and looked at Khushi "Khushi go and get change."

"It's okay Nani. I am fine with it."

"Shall we go now??" Arnav asked loudly when Khushi looked at his furious face and shook her head, then they silently took a leave.

The drive was completely silent, none of them trying to initiate the conversation, Arnav dropped her at Gupta house and informed the Gupta's to pick her up in the evening. After talking with her parents she walked to her room, last night's arguments were ringing in her mind when Garima walked in her room, "Khushi is everything alright?"

She dried her tears and replied, "Yes. Yes maa. You tell me, do you get any information about jiji?"

"Don't talk about her. For her today all these happened. I know you are facing difficulties there. I can see that in your eyes." She said crying.

"No maa!! Nothing like that. Everyone is nice there." She said with a assuring smile.

"I am sorry Khushi. Whatever happened it was against your will and I know you took this decision under a pressure."

"But at the end of the day, it was completely mine." She replied immediately.

"I know you must have dream about your marriage, about your married life... But now you have bonded with relation... With Arnav!! Now as we can't change it so I want you to connect your dreams, your wishes with this relation... With Arnav." Khushi looked at her shocked, a tear escaped from her eyes, "It is not so easy maa!!"

"It is not impossible though... Only thing you need to do is to take one more step ahead and you will see Arnav will come forward and with it you two will come closer. Just think about it." Garima lovingly said while caressing her head, Khushi was feeling very much frustration, it was not easy for her.

"I will try to fulfill all the duties as a wife." She replied.

At Raizada Office

Arnav was disturbed too and the reason was same, his previous night with Khushi, he just couldn't accept her. He heard a knock on the door, "Come in."

Mr.Raizada walked in, "Arnav I need to talk with you."

Arnav looked at him and replied, "But I don't, if it's about my personal life."

"You have to Arnav." Mr.Raizada took a sit when Arnav ignored him and started his work in laptop.

"Look Arnav, you are mistaken her. See!! Here you felt betrayed, I know and Khushi, don't you think she was too forced in this marriage." Arnav stopped his work for a moment as his words grabbed his attention, he remembered Khushi's words last night. "You are blaming her, but do you think she had any fault? No Arnav she hadn't."

"dad, now there is no use to talk about this matter." Arnav calmly said.

"I know. I know we can't change whatever happened but Arnav now you have to come out from this, you have to accept her. Okay, I understand, for now as a wife you can't, but as a friend..." Arnav looked at him shock, "Yes!! As a friend, She can be your friend son, with whom you can share your all emotions. Just try to talk with her once. I hope it will work then." He said with a smile and took a leave.

Khushi's POV

Maa was not wrong anywhere. Now we can't change it, we are husband wife and I have to accept it. It was not possible but I can try to start a fresh life forgetting my past. My past, Samrat!! Yes, it wasn't possible to forget him but from now I will consider him as my friend nothing else. I want this marriage to work. No!! Not because, I have fallen in love. I never fall in love with that Devil but for my family I have to try, okay!! At least as a friend we can start with a fresh.

"I have to talk with him today." She sighed.

In Evening

Arnav reached at Gupta mansion to pick up Khushi for home, they took blessings from the elders and took a leave. In the car, there was a pin drop silence, both were stealing glances from each other but didn't initiate. Both of them were waiting for other to initiate, but realizing that he is not going to utter a single word, Khushi cleared her throat with a noice, ARnav didn't reply anything, getting no response from him, she clear her throat making a loud voice but still he remained silent.

"Idiot." She uttered.

Afetr sometime, he parked the car on the roadside and looked at Khushi who looked back with questionable eyes, "I want to say something." Finally he spoke.

"I know you don't like me and you don't want to talk with me. Well... The feelings are mutual Khushi." Hearing this she glared at him, "But it can't be continue for ever."

"Means?"

"I mean... We have to start from somewhere." A smile came on her lips immediately.

"So can we just end this cold war??" He asked.

"Fine." She rolled her eyes.

Finally they reached in mansion, "I need to do a correction." Khushi spoke with attitude, when Arnav glared at her, "I haven't started this COLD WAR!!" She stretched the word.

Hearing this, he sighed and replied, "Yeah! Yeah. It was my fault. Actually it was always my fault. It was me who always did mistakes. I am Sorry Khushi."

"You should be!!" She gave him back.

Both of them gave each other a deadly glare and walked out from car and went inside... To start a new life TOGETHER!!
