My life has changed in a single day, I never expect this from my life, but still I believe whatever God does, it will good for everyone.
There was a huge hustle bustle outside my room when my mom walked in my room and looked at me, "Are you ready?"
"Yes." I replied instant.
My mom walked to me with tears in her eyes, I asked "Do you feel it is right? Do you tell them about this?"
I was trembling in fear, as it wasn't supposed to happen; I wasn't supposed to get married today!! I looked at mom to get my answers when she shook her head and put my veil over my head, covering my face.
"You don't worry about anything. Your dad handled everything."
"Okay. Then why are you covering my face?" I asked in shock.
"It's ritual." My mom replied without facing at me, I shook my head when mom took me outside the room where other girls joined me, they started teasing me. Ahh!! It's so irritating. Suddenly I felt my cheeks wet, I touched that - water! Am I crying? Well, I'm not that type of girl who give up so easily. But for now, yes I'm crying. After all, God has just changed my complete life within few hours. My fate played a game with me!!
With my own thoughts I reached to the mandap where my groom was sitting, I didn't bother to at him. I took sit next to him when Priest started chanting Mantra.
"Now bride and groom please stand up for 7phera!!" Priest said when we stood up and took the 7pheras, I am least interested in all these, and all these happed without my own wish. Then after completing phera we took our positions when he put vermillion on my partition and tied the black thread, so called Mangulsutra around my neck.
"From now you two are husband wife." Finally the priest declared, I closed my eyes and tears escaped.
We took blessings from our elders and soon took a leave from my house. The journey was completely silent, I didn't bother to interact with him or he and soon we reached at his place.
We were stopped at gate by elders when a old lady said "Now you can remove your veil from your face."
I stood there like a statue, I was fighting in my inner turmoil when she removed the veil from my face.
"You??" Everyone looked at shock as well as my groom.
