Not Impressed with 6th Episode

I'm sorry but I'm actually not very impressed.

These guys are Delhi CBI. And as far as I know every major city should have their own CBI. So why was Delhi CBI sent to solve a case in Mumbai? Shouldn't Mumbai CBI be solving the case?

Why was it that Raghav was the one who noticed that the stabbings were equally-spaced and the same size? And why did he mention the trishul? Technically the first part should be a forensic doctor's job and the second part the investigator's job.

Why is Raghav taking the lead suddenly? Trisha's the head. She should have been the one telling Gauri what to do and she should be the one to receive the report first. Why was it going to Raghav first?

Additionally Raghav is a psychiatrist. Why is he questioning people on his own? Shouldn't that be the job of a full agent?

I did like Rajbir and Bikram today. Finally they broke free and showed us what these officers are really like now.

I didn't like Trisha's comment about not having Raghav around when they have a few hours left. What can't the case continue without Raghav?

I did like though that the criminal wasn't as easily suspected. I didn't really suspect the guy until I started wondering why the team wasn't looking at the guy.

Absolutely. I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment of the episode.

On the whole, it seemed very disjointed and incoherent. And I didn't like how they randomly threw in many elements, like the aghori culture (which did nothing for the storyline) and the reference to the Sheena Bora case (they called the girl Reena, and stuck with Rahul for the boy).

I was completely blank while watching the episode.

I was completely blank while watching the episode.

The problem is that I kept expecting a Sheena Bora style case except in this case the brother was killed.

The interesting thing is they said that they said that they were in Mumbai, but in one scene when Trisha is talking to her boss you can clearly see it reads something else in front of CBI. It wasn't clear writing, but it was either a 4 or 5 letter word not 6 letters.

They didn't have to show them going to Mumbai, just show them going to Benares. Completely unnecessary.

BTW Mahesh Manjrekar is playing Minelli's role. I hope we see him doing something of substance, and how they delineated the Teresa-Minelli bond.

I just realized that my having watched The Mentalist is detrimental to my enjoyment of the show.

I try hard to forget that I've watched the original series, but comparisons are inevitable, I guess. Not to mention that the writing has been very disappointing here.

I guess I'm glad there because I really watched only the first season fully. The rest of the seasons I only caught one or two episodes. But now I feel like going back just to see the rest of the episodes. Who knows. Maybe the CVs might end up copying one or two of the episodes as well.

As for the writing - I fully agree there. The issue is that I can't even think of anywhere to start to get it improved. Because everything is bad except maybe the dialogues.

I also watched all the season finales, including the series finale :P

If this goes on, I have to scout for better choices for my weekends.

If you're looking for good crime shows, Crime Patrol is one you should check out. It's cases are so hard-hitting because they are real and they tell the stories really well.

Um... A little disagreement here. I actually liked the plot of the last episode. For once it was almost totally focused on the detailing, solving etc.but I liked the suspense created and unlike the other episodes I was honestly surprised with the culprit.
Also, the climax was a little Poirot-esque and I'm a huge fan of him.

I also really liked the Bikram-Rajveer parts.

Locations aside, I felt this time Raghav actually went with observation and deductions that weren't totally apparent.
