Meet Sa Re Ga Ma's awesome threesome

After four months of intense battle, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has got its three finalists – Amanat, Aneek and Raja. Though all three are understandably tense about the finale, each one of them believes that making it this far is an achievement in itself. We spoke to the trio to find out about their preparations for the D-day on October 13.

Amanat: "We are working harder than before, practicing for more hours. We have stopped all our masti and all the focus is only on music. All three of us have the same goal. The responsibilities have increased on us - not only the mentors but even the public is expecting a lot. We have selected songs for the finale and our costumes are also ready. Everyday we go on sets and have a look at the preparations so that we can get a feel of what it will be like on the D-day.
I am thankful to God and the audience that I am still there in the competition. It is true that I am a little tense but when I start singing I forget all the pressure and tensions. When you work hard it shows in your performance and you get deserving comments and rewards. Even though I was in danger zone last week everyone said that I should not have been there and some guest judges even commented that I am above the competition and that there should not be public voting in this show.

Ismialji is giving me tips and supporting me a lot for the finals. However it all depends on destiny so let's see what happens."

Aneek: "I want to concentrate on singing more than anything else. I am not expecting much as reaching the finals is the biggest achievement for all of us. Winning and losing depends upon luck. I have decided the whether I win or lose, I want to continue singing.

I came here with the dream of becoming singer and did my first assignment with Shantanu Moitra for Bal Ganesha. It is always good to start anything with Ganesh as it considered to be a good sign.

Himeshji loves me a lot and treats me like his son. I am thankful to God that when I had to decide my gharana through chits I picked up his name. He has been a great guiding force."

Raja: "I am excited about the finals. We are preparing as if we are performing for the first time. I have worked hard all this while and I am working harder this time. If I would have not put in that much effort I would have not reached here today. The public's blessings are always there with me.

We are doing riyaz and choosing different kinds of songs. Our mentors are also excited about it. They call me 2-3 times a day and asked me to sing songs and also explain where I need to concentrate on.

I am not thinking whether I will win or lose. Getting a chance to perform on such a huge platform is a great opportunity for anyone. So we have a big responsibility in that regards. Anyways, there is no such thing called top 2 or 3 in singing. It is the public who decides all this. Our main target is to perform well and make our way into people's hearts. After singing for some films, I realize I have to maintain the same performance level in the recording studios which I did on stage.

I love Vishalji and Shekharji. They have put in plenty of efforts and all their tips have proved useful for me. They have asked me to sing songs in my own style and I like the way they explain things to me. Their attitude is always friendly with everyone and I have received a lot of knowledge about singing from them."
