BOI doesnt put just the production cost the producer spend but also promotion cost including distributer cost. Most producers talks only about how much he spends in production but doesnt give buyer cost. The total cost determines final verdict a movie cant be hit if only producer make money and distributer or exhibitor unhappy.

Drishyam ka budget is 62 crores??/

other than Ajay...no big stars...no locations or extravagant sets...no OTT promotions...ye 62 cr ka budget use kahan hua hai??🤔

Aise hi kuch bhi likh dete hain. Drishyam must have been shot on a very tight schedule too so low overheads. After all,it was a scene by scene remake.

The budget is not only the cost of production It was sold at a big price the budget is total budget including the cost of of the movie after its bought.

Therez no way the budget is higher than 45 Crs inc. all. The verdict shud be hit.

Ajay and Akshay movies always suffer from this problem of selling in high cost. I think they expected more the south versions all were big hits they expected in 85 plus crore.
