Modern Family is hilarious and I have always liked they didnt have the fake laugh track

Despite ELR being quite funny, for some reason this show falls flat.

One of the big reasons ELR works is because of the actors...they all had great chemistry and were cast to perfectly suit their roles

The "Robert" of this show has absolutely no comedic timing or appeal..he cant even come close to acting like "Robert Barone"(not to mention that Roberts height and voice were part of his character)

The person cast as "Marie" is funny but again, those character nuances are missing.

Namit Das is ok as "Raymond" however Raymond had a hilarious nasal voice and his facial expressions were classic. You can't just "copy" all that..


The problem is that the show has copied everything from ELR, down to the set, the pizza place, etc... As a result comparisons and criticisms between the two shows are natural. I would have liked the show to be inspired by ELR but not a carbon copy...You just cant copy an awesome TV show like Raymond cause the comedic timing and synergy of the actors combined with an awesome script, made the show the classic that it is.

Not a very funny show. I expected this to be something like Sarabhai with some intellect puns and humour. It's plain comedy with some annoying background laughs imitating Emglisg 90's comedy shows.
