remakes and sequels get u an extra when it comes to opening so producers love to cash in

100% true.

Look at Aashiqui 2 - the related element to the original was the 'under the jacket' poster. If it was called something else, it wouldn't have the initial buzz it got.

This trend is the same in Hollywood too, and many producers have said it just plays with the minds f the audience, they think they are getting a piece of something good, even if the story is not related.

look at welcome back hardly any stellar cast mediocre promos and below average music still managed a 50cr weekend
