There is spiritual significance of this festival. God wants men and women to live as brothers and sisters. The bond of love between a brother and a sister can do a lot of wonders. This love can be there between a man and a woman not necessarily related by blood. A woman could be a pillar of support for a man being with him giving him spiritual strength with sisterly love and a man could take care of her. with brotherly love.
In this forum also, this festival becomes all the more important because we can take chance to live as per God calls us to. That is during a period in which there are divisive forces and greedy politicians who try to divide men and women and because of these persons, we also have many topics on gender issues in our forums. But if we are all to grow together, we have to live by God's laws and God calls on us men and women to love with love and respect for each other.
