IKRS 27th August 2015 Episode 16 My Take
The weak and vulnerable seem to suffer endlessly, while the wicked prosper. Many times we wonder why? those who have a faith put it down to it.. probably it's god's will. Those who don't, may accept that all pain ,sorrow, are in one's stars, fate or destiny. in both cases there is no evidence to support that human beings have another choice ,bar that of accepting whatever life dishes out both pleasant or unpleasant..
Just when she thinks she is out of the cruel audible hell of the second mistress into the haven of her shelter, Dhani is a sight for sore eyes!! complete with ..Nightmares, bandaged feet, more cruel comments, accusations of attention seeking , more woman against woman environment!.. her strength is united she stands with the rest.. didn't sell are dignity for money!
However, understandably not only does she suffers physical trauma but also show signs of extreme emotional trauma.To her suffering is added a warped and twisted perception of how she is seen by others in the ashram.. as an over hyped dramatic statement of bandaged feet! instead of funds!.. Rachna and Raj laximi ignite and lash out against Dhani..
The point that badi amma makes in the previous episode tends to spill over in the beginning of the episode.. a woman causes doom to another woman ,instead of showing sensitivity and understanding. Dhani yet again becomes the target of more caustic remarks this time, from people within her house. Kanak abuses her self- respect when she senses that Dhani came for financial help from her FIL.. This time Dhani faces more smarting from within her ashram from Rachna and Rajlaxnis.. instead of relating to the humiliation she faced at the hands of the second mistress. Her character is brutally butchered by their words! it's like the power of evil wants to swallow the very existence of virtue as it stops vice from flourishing.. Within the shelter, there are these two widows who are willing to put their own virtue at stake to get their own need of funds for their ashram. They are the two trouble makers, R's of the ashram. Dhani has never been one young widow liked by these devilish , selfish widows. Cruel words are used against her .. that she draws attention to herself by doing outrageous acts, like getting herself stained by red colour, accused of pouring liquor on the Shvi ling in the temple. For funds. they seemed to tell her point blank ,since she is already one who is used to suffering disgrace before the world.. so if needed she should have sold her virtue.. it wouldn't have done harm to an already denounced Dhani!.. what they fail to grasp is that virtue for a woman is non- negotiable ..it is the strength of a pure woman, who has immense strength of character alongside her grace and dignity.. the two R's feel that Dhani's piety will cost them their home ,the widows shelter. It is clear they feel that Dhani is the cause of misery in their lives.. Badi amma once again manages to curb the rising mutiny in her refuge! she reminds Rachna and Rajlaxmi that unholy, flexible, compromising words about ourselves is what negates the whole order of widow hood..i.e to live with dignity and self-respect! Rachna and Rajlaxmi are reprimanded and forced to apologize to Dhani.. the two hate living at the ashram.. it is shelter that forces them to stay here and fight for it's existence.. I feel, that these two are invariably made to apologize to Dhani, due to the stern treatment of badi amma.. could this be turning these woman against Dhani. Badi maa's favourable eye upon Dhani??
Man proposes.. god disposes..
Failure brings about problem solving! that which the widows are getting good at.. they weigh other options. A visit to vidhi, encourages them to share their problem with her..This too has to be divine wisdom that points them to vidhi's direction.. her positive points are reliability, sensitivity, and commitment..she contacts Ravi bajpai.. tania's father.. who then suggests his intern's name.. Viplav Tirpathi.. Shiva ji's dance makes a start.. but as plans are hatched.. they can be foiled too.. the widows will learn this as the lesson of life.. where plans go smoothly ,there glitches can happen too.. the intern lawyer is reluctant to fight a case based in his home town..
Alongside other plans are in the pipeline.. Viplav's marriage to Tania..? time will show if these plans are hatched?
Tania plans to share her life with Viplav.. plans seem to be going smoothly.. However Viplav holds the banaras incident close to himself, and so far plans not to share with tania..
Tania plans to visit Banaras with Viplav.. where she plans to meet his family and mix in the richness of Banaras! .. now this is mighty Shiva ji's plan.. to bring back Viplav.. to Banaras!
Back at the ashram.. Dhani and Badi amma plan only to tell the positive news to the widows.. that vidhi will help.. she will keep trying for a lawyer..
Dulari notices ,badi amma retires into her room.. Dhani too noticed badi amma was subdued .. Dulari reflects aloud.. widows, are used to suffering and hardship, and as a result become resilient.. however, many widows carry many deep wounds.. which they bury within their heart and never share with anyone else... leave badi amma for sometime.. she wants to left alone.. now I wonder if she has some connection with vidhi..? or her daughter?
Dhani gets the go ahead from vidhi to get in touch with the intern lawyer.. Shiva ji's dance gets robust! .. Dhani phones the lawyer in the racket of disco!!! Shiva,ji's damru sounds as his dance becomes stronger!!! Dhani and Viplav maintain contact!
Dhani, muses, ashram is our last refuge and this intern layer is our last hope.
A speedy episode.. pleasant change of scenery in Viplav's life..
