Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the show. It's the only one show I watch apart from DYM which will anyway get over this week. I eagerly await 8.30 p.m. with a silly grin on my face, which makes my mother think I am going bonkers😆

But yes, I do feel that some elements of the show need more work.

1. The intensity- The humor, as I have said many a time, works very well for me. But there are times when unnecessary hilarity dilutes the emotional impact of the scenes. I think they need to work on that.

2. Cliches wanted- I think I have watched many a TV show where they have a well-rehearsed routine where the hero takes a chance to come physically closer to the heroine, and what will unfold is cliches galore😆 Phoolon ki baarish, locking eyes, clutching her waist, supporting her in a weird posture for eternity, short of breath- yadda, yadda yadda😆😆 Though we've seen these scenes many a time, they are needed- as someone said, cliches are cliches because they work.

I can't confess how deliriously happy I was to see the trip-catch-stare routine b/w Meher and Abeer yesterday😆 I think it's one of the few scenes in the show where we've gotten evidence of their physical attraction. The only other instances I can think of are the dance in the ATM, and Abeer helping Meher to play the violin and caressing her neck thing in the flashback😳 Yet, these scenes are few and far between.

I would like to see more of them, esp. considering that the protagonists have been a married couple and have met each other after 8 frickin' years. Where are the fireworks, people?☺️ This couple has chemistry in spades, you need to make optimal use of it!

As a viewer I absolutely DEMAND these scenes. Cliched romantic scenes are a shipper's birthright and I will HAVE IT!!!😆 My apologies to the great Bal Gangadhar Tilak for this piece of blasphemy and running riot with his memorable quote😔

3. Some progress with the storyline- I absolutely welcomed Pinky Bhai's track because it paved the way for Meher and Abeer to introspect and delve into their past. After that got over, I feel that the story has been moving on a slow pace for a while. The same ol' Abeer gets blamed and mistreated by Bua and turns into the male version of Gopi Vau It's another story that I feel terrible for our cute, sanskaari daamad, unlike for Gopi, whose mere presence on my TV while flipping channels makes me want to take a hatchet to her😡

We need more of flashbacks interspersed with present events to show how the playful Abeer and sweet Meher transformed into their present bitter and disillusioned selves. Not only does it provide a beautiful contrast, it's really effective as a narrative technique. Because it draws the viewer into the story and keeps us on the edge of the seat with regard to the bits we don't know.

So I advocate a flashback scene at least once in three/four episodes to give some juicy bits to the viewers to mull on and figure out what happened with MehBeer in the past. It's been 8 years according to the storyline for Meher and Abeer, and I think as individuals they deserve to get some glimpses of the truth, if not the entire revelation altogether. And as a viewer, I do believe that a vital part of the story line is being withheld for too long a time. I am not asking for the epiphany/revelation to happen in one episode- rather, some useful clues here and there to keep us intrigued.

Abeer finding Meher's cardboard box and finding a clue would have been interesting, for instance. Looks like they've forgotten about it and jumped to the Tunnu track for TRP's In any case, I want Abeer and Meher to gradually change perception of their ex-spouse, esp. for Abeer to doubt something fishy about the alimony bit.

This Meher injured wala track has me hugely excited because it'll enable Abeer to (hopefully) look past his misgivings about Meher and embrace the truth that he's not moved on at all, not even by an inch. Angsty Abeer, crying over Meher's bleeding body, begging her to wake up and trying to revive her- this silly, sadistic fan girl's heart goes all aflutter when she envisions this scene🤪

This is my piece of constructive criticism after watching the past few episodes.😳 Please forgive me for my brashness🤓 And don't forget to post your responses/rebuttals for this nacheez😃

Hope you had a restful Sunday. So long, peeps!

well i am not seeing anything except BD either 😆

i so damn agree with this ^^

1. The intensity- The humor, as I have said many a time, works very well for me. But there are times when unnecessary hilarity dilutes the emotional impact of the scenes. I think they need to work on that.
i agree..its like the intensity is not given time at all to sink in! u have an intense moment and then suddenly everyone behaves like nothing happened and starts joking and fighting.

2. PERIOD!

thats exactly the problem...the good scenes are way tooo far! and way tooo few!! btw these ones u mentioned are my favs too...also the jacket scene and the one wen nissar locks mehbeer in office cabin during pinky scenario.

I would like to see more of them, esp. considering that the protagonists have been a married couple and have met each other after 8 frickin' years. Where are the fireworks, people?☺️ This couple has chemistry in spades, you need to make optimal use of it!
YES YES YES!! WHERE ARE THE FIREWORKS!!! its all so thanda! they should either be longing with passion or they should be fighting fiercely! cant see either. its like it was a tiny little fight that happened half a day ago!

As a viewer I absolutely DEMAND these scenes. me too 😆 Cliched romantic scenes are a shipper's birthright and I will HAVE IT!!!😆 hahahahahaha 🤣My apologies to the great Bal Gangadhar Tilak for this piece of blasphemy and running riot with his memorable quote😔 u r too cute! wats ur name? 🤗

3. Some progress with the storyline- I absolutely welcomed Pinky Bhai's track because it paved the way for Meher and Abeer to introspect and delve into their past. After that got over, I feel that the story has been moving on a slow pace for a while. The same ol' Abeer gets blamed and mistreated by Bua and turns into the male version of Gopi Vau girl that is so damn exact! 🤣 jhappi
It's another story that I feel terrible for our cute, sanskaari daamad, unlike for Gopi, whose mere presence on my TV while flipping channels makes me want to take a hatchet to her😡 i soo agree why dont they shut shop already!! 😡 😡 😡 😡

We need more of flashbacks interspersed with present events to show how the playful Abeer and sweet Meher transformed into their present bitter and disillusioned selves. ikr! there is absolutely no clue why they even fell in love forget why they divorced.
Not only does it provide a beautiful contrast, it's really effective as a narrative technique. Because it draws the viewer into the story and keeps us on the edge of the seat with regard to the bits we don't know. exactly! the screenplay and scene design is very weak man...there are so many many scenes i remember that could have been so much better. eg - recently that ring scene ...it cud have been engagement ring or a gift or something...i was disappointed. we missed a chance of a gud flashback even

So I advocate a flashback scene at least once in three/four episodes to give some juicy bits to the viewers to mull on and figure out what happened with MehBeer in the past. It's been 8 years according to the storyline for Meher and Abeer, and I think as individuals they deserve to get some glimpses of the truth, if not the entire revelation altogether. yes its time to disclose a little now!
And as a viewer, I do believe that a vital part of the story line is being withheld for too long a time. I am not asking for the epiphany/revelation to happen in one episode- rather, some useful clues here and there to keep us intrigued.
i am hoping the cvs have decided the reason u know...i almost see no confidence in the intense scene screenplays

Abeer finding Meher's cardboard box and finding a clue would have been interesting, for instance. Looks like they've forgotten about it and jumped to the Tunnu track for TRP's me too sad In any case, I want Abeer and Meher to gradually change perception of their ex-spouse, esp. for Abeer to doubt something fishy about the alimony bit. yes its hightime their perception changes little by little now

This Meher injured wala track has me hugely excited because it'll enable Abeer to (hopefully) look past his misgivings about Meher and embrace the truth that he's not moved on at all, not even by an inch. Angsty Abeer, crying over Meher's bleeding body, begging her to wake up and trying to revive her- this silly, sadistic fan girl's heart goes all aflutter when she envisions this scene🤪
i am dreaming the same but, i dont want another heart break...i am not keeping my hopes high. still i wish the story moves atleast. currently meher n abeer are at the same place they were at 2 weeks back

Yes... I love the show... I love the setup. I adore the characters.
But cliches exist for a reason. I like the characters here better than IPKKD-- but Arshi was so popular because they never spared a moment to capitalize the chemistry. They were bleeding hot...

Here Mehbeer are living in the same house and almost in the same bedroom, they were married for heaven's sake. Where are the awkward moments? Bumping into each other out of the shower, his button getting caught on her necklace, falling on top of each other etc etc.

And we need some more romantic flashbacks. Like yesterday they could've easily shown Abeer helping her with her sari in the past-- showing us that the more things change, the more things remain the same.

unres😛

ok to start with yesss!! INTENSITY m freaking looking for this in the show..The USP of this show is the fact that MehBeer were "married".. ITs not just any other lovers story! THe more they are physically attracted, the more does it make sense, at least keeping in kind that they are married and there is nothing wrong. When they have such sizzling pair y are teh cv's not using it wisely?? They can make these two have the hottest scene on tv and that will for sure boost the trps😆 The past FB scenes are more romantic than the present. I understand that meher might stay away physically from Abeer but in case abeer wants to..he still can drive meher crazy very easily😳 But the passionate and intense abeer seems to be lost somewer

second story speed is ok as of now, but yes fr trp aunties they are adding tunnu story as of now..wic will bring in some drama..wic is nt so interesting fr us but ya hoping it ll get some trp's for the show understanding that its imp for teh show to run. As we love them no matter wat family drama's n craps they show we ll still watch it😆

n yes i love the humorous Abeer wic makes him very different from teh other male leads who hav hard time smiling even😛 This guys i adorable n he can also play an intense and passionate man crazily in love with his ex-wifey😛 N this si wat cv's arent doing ..hope they read this thread and understand wat we are expecting!😛

Exactly what I was thinking, Malika😊

And I didn't want to take the example of IPK because I wanted to avoid comparisons- but I swear I was thinking of the same show. Koi bhi mauka nahi chodte thhe Arnav aur Khushi😆 Our MehBeer need to learn a thing or two from them. But I agree with you- tonally, as a show, and in terms of how relatable the characters are, esp. the female protagonist, I love this show way more.

It's one thing if like in other shows the leads have zilch chemistry in spite of such scenes. But why can't you capitalize on the scintillating chemistry b/w the characters and the good screen presence of the actors? Beats me.

The thing which sets this show apart from others is the retrospective- the incorporation of the flashbacks as a vital part of the storytelling. They need to use it more effectively in my opinion.

Even in that truth and dare game, the flashback was cut abruptly- I would have loved to see Meher telling Abeer in the past- I am not here to make friends, but to study. And then in the present, when Abeer reads out the diary- that would have been wonderful.

They are making them behave like an old married couple😕 They're still in their late 20's, I presume, and their relationship was cut short after 6 months. Don't tell me they aren't attracted to each other🥱 As Abeer once said, "Dono hot thhe, jawaan thhe"...😉😆

I'm going to have to go with rebuttal for this one. 😛

I totally see where you are coming from, but I personally am really happy with the progress of the story. While I would love more ship-friendly scenes, it always bodes poorly for a show when the focus falls too narrowly on the leads and their story. One of the best things about this show, in my opinion, is the fact that they are building such strong supporting plots, which all have the guarantee of being interwoven into the main plot of the two protagonists at some point. This Tunnu thing has been building right from the first episode of the show, with his desire for a glamorous career, and we are only now seeing its intersection with the main story. It's rare to find that kind of consistency on Indian shows, especially romantic ones.

It's not that I am against cliched romance... #fallandcatch #endlesseyelocks! But I've just seen TOO MANY shows that start out with a lot of promise, and soon focus on the leads too much due to fan demands, and because that is what sells, and then run out of story really fast (usually about 100 episodes) - then we are left with contrived misunderstandings, meaningless humor that's not really funny and/or those abhorrent humshakal tracks and leaps for the rest of the show's run. If it was a limited episode format, as it is with Pakistani serials - just 25-30 episodes - then it makes a lot of sense to have most of the focus be on the leads but that is not the case here, and I really appreciate the way they are working with the format. The supporting characters are so strong that I actually like watching their scenes, and usually the most successful, long-running shows are those that have good supporting tracks.

Finally, story-wise, I don't think there's room for intensity just yet. There ARE fireworks but both our stubborn darlings are doing everything in their power to hide any evidence of them. I like to give them credit for their self-restraint! 😆 Except in situations of grave danger, or when they are vulnerable and off guard, they are not betraying one single spark, even if it's Diwali inside their hearts. That makes sense, and I think it is what makes the story so real.

I like that Abeer marvels at Meher's beauty inwardly when she dresses up but doesn't allow himself to get completely lost and googoo, and Meher doesn't close her eyes and melt every time he touches her. I always found the way the characters would lose all control around each other (even when they hated each other any other time) far-fetched in other romance shows. Here the tension is undoubtedly there, but it's subtle and mitigated by so many other feelings. It's like they can feel more than one thing at the same time! 😲😆

I do agree with you on the flashbacks though! They could easily indulge us with more fluff there, since it's clear that their first innings was full of the kind of romance we all want more of. I also miss the office, and the balance of humor and intensity we had there. I hate when office dramas get totally shifted to the household, so I'm crossing my fingers that that won't happen here!

those cliched scenes are required,so are the fbs and the secret.personally,i'm finding tunnu-shyam track quite boring[usually mutes the scenes.]

and they should not forget the central theme of the story and ofc, more mehbeer[in present, atleast in fbs.]
