in the morning kasu woke up with a jump on the alarm. she looked around her and found tanu and navneet sleeping beside her soundly. she got up from the bed, tied her hair in a bun and ran down to make breakfast. she made breakfast for everyone and laid it on the table when kaushalya ji came and said,

"kasturi puttar tujhe beeji bula rahi hain."

"ji maa"

kasu ran to her beeji and dadaji in their room, where beeji was sitting in front of her window.

"beeji ap ne bulaya?"asked kasu

"han beta. idhar a!"

kasu moved towards her and touched her feet.

"jeetee reh puttar. dekh men or tere dadaji tere liye kia lae hain." she took out a ring from her purse and said, "yeh hum mandir se lae the jb tu paida hui thi na tb tujhe pandit ji k pas le k gae the tb unho ne di thi tere liye k acha shagun hai. aj teri kamyabi sabit krne ka din hai is liye ye aj men tujhe de rahi hun"

kau took the ring from beeji's hand, kissed it and wore it.

"thnx beeji. ab men chalun?? wo tayyar bhi hona hai or chote chote kam pade hain, wo bhi khatam karne hain."

"han han beta jaldi ja. upar wala tujhe hamesha khush rakhe"

kasu went quickly outside and went in kitchen where her mother was preparing tea and lunch for tanu and navneet.

"aray maa ap kiun kar rahi hain ye sb. men a rahi thi na. chalain chodain!"

"puttar tu ja subha se kam kr rahi hai. ja tayyar ho k nashta kar le. phir tujhe jana bhi to hai na."

"par maa abhi to 7.30 hue hain. wahan to 9 baje jana hai na."

"kasturi behas mat kar ja tayyar hoja"

"acha ma"

kasu went to the roof top and took off the hanged clothes from the line, folded them and put them in the cupboards. she took out a light pink shalwar kameez with shafoon duppata and went to take a bath. she came out and stood in front of mirror and saw herself and thought to herself

"kuck kami hai...ermmm...han"

she wore few glass bangles and earrings, gave a touch of gloss on her lips and finally put a small cute bindi on her forehead. she again looked at herself in the mirror and said

"perfect"

but then she thought "pata nahi robbie sir ko kaisi lagun gi"

suddenly her cell fone rang. she picked and saw robbie name blinking on it. she smiled and took the call..

"hello sir."

"hi. kasturi kahan ho?? abhi tak ai kiun nahi??"

"err...sir abhi to 8.15 hue hain."

"tmhen ronaq ne nahi bataya tha k aj jaldi ana??"

"nahin sir"

"sir ki bachi...wo to hai hi duffer acha khair bs tm jaldi se ajao"

"acha sir men bs 10 min men nikalti hun"

"thek hai. c u."

"bye sir."

kasu took her purse and woke tanu and navneet saying..

"tanu, navneet utho jaldi karo dair horahi hai. colg nahi jana. jaldio jaldi utho..."

"acha na di ap shor kiun macha rahi ho"

"mujhe jaldi jana hai na navneet"

"oh han di mujhe to yad hi nahi tha. best of luck di"

"thanx nav"

"yup all the best di"

"han han thnx tanu.. chalo jaldi utho men jarahi hun. bye"

kasu ran downstairs adn was about run out when kaush called her

"kasturi puttar nashta te krti ja"

"nahi ma wo robbie sir ka fone aya hai. unho ne jaldi bulaya hai"

"aray puttar kuch nahi hota. idhar a men jaldi se tujhe apne hathon se khilati hun. bhooki jae gi kia wahan?"

"par maa"

"kha le na bachi. kiun zid kar rahi hai apni maa k sath. ab kia bahar walon ki ziada ahmiat hogai hai tere liye?"alka ji's voice struck in their ear who was standing behind.

"acha maa" kasu said and went to her mother who was about to put a piece of paratha in her mouth when kasu's fone rang again. she picked up and heard robbie's voice..

"kasturi nikal gai??"

"nahi sir wo men..."

"kasturi kia karti ho... jaldi kao na yar. im waiting for you"

"ap...mera wait kar rahe hain sir??"kasu asked slowly.

"obviously"

"men abhi ai sir"

"ok"

they hung up and kasu turned ther side to walk out and said to her mother.

"mom please im sorry but robbie sir mera wait kar rahe hain"

she drank a glass of water and ran out.

"par kasturi..."kaush tried to call her back but she was out of sight and kaush was left with her hand stretched out for kasturi...

"hae hae kia zamana a gaya. ladki apni ma ki awaz ko thukra k ek ghair mard ki awaz sun k bhag padi" alka'a voice struck kaush.

"alka tu chup kar. bachi ki naukri hai to ye sb to krna pade ga na"dadaji came from behind and said this.

"han han meri sunta bhi kaun hai" she said and went in her room.

finally kasu reached the ss mansion. she ran inside praying to God,

"hey bhagwan, robbie sir ghusse na hon mujhse" she went in the main hall and saw lots of servants running here and there with the pooja samaan. kasu started looking for someone from the family.

"aray kasturi beta. namaste" dushant and puroshotam came and greeted kasu.

"namaste uncle. wo robbie sir kahan hain??"

"han beta wo apne kamre men hoga. subha se dikha hi nahin. tm hi dekh lo ja k" puro said.

"hi kasturi" ronaq came down from the stairs and said,"kasturi usko to tm hi dekho. subha se kamre se nahin nikla... btw tm itni jaldi yahan kia kar rahi ho??"

"wo robbie sir ne mujhe kaha k ap..."

"ufff wo idiot bhi na... khamakha tmhe jaldi bula liya hai. pata nahi subha se kia hua hai use"

"oh ji men dekh lun gi unhain"kasu said a little confused that robbie had told her that ronaq shud hav told her to be here early and now ronaq also doesnt know anything about being early.

kasu went upstairs to robbie's room. she opened the door and saw robbie's room all messed up. his bed sheets were lying on the floor, his magazines and his suits from cupboard were all lying on his bed and on the floor and robbie himself was standing near his window with his hands folded and his back to kasu. kasu saw him and sensed some kind of tension but she dint wanted to show it so she started as usual,

"hello sir, yeh kia hal bana rakha hai ap ne apne kamre ka?? hud hai." she started cleaning up all the mess from his room and kept talking "or ap ne mujh se jhoot kiun kaha?? k ronaq sir ne mujhe jaldi ane k liye nahi kaha jb k ap ne khud mujhe jaldi bulaya tha... abhi to ye shukar hai k men ne unko kuch kaha nahi k ap ne mujhse kia kaha tha..." kasu still dint got any reply from him, she got more and more tensed but she kept going..."or...or sb ye bhi keh rahe hain k ap...ap ne...ap subha se kamre se nahin nikle..."

finally she cudnt take it anymore so she went upto him and put her hand on his shoulder and said softly,"kia hua sir?? sb thek to hai??"

robbie pressed her hand with his hand still not turning towards her but that touch sent a chill through kasu's body. finally after a few moments break he replied,

"kasturi mujhe nervous feel horaha hai" he said lightly.

"oh bus itni si bat?? aray ye to normal hai na. har insan ko is tarha itne sare logon k samne jate hue jin sb ki nazrain sirf usi par tiki hon to nervous to hota hai na..."

"...wo bat nahi hai kasturi"

"to phir... oh samjhi... mere sath pehli bar kam kar rahe hain and soch rahe hain k mera kam logon ko pasandae ga k nahin?? uski fikar mat kijiye ap sir. men ne sb kuch ek dum perfect rakha hai or phir har bade kalakaar k liye har bar logon k samne jana pehli dafa jane k barabar hi hota hai na kiun ki wo nahin janta k wo kb kia..."

"kasturi aisi koi baat nahin hai" robbie said angrily looking half towards kasturi like half turning towards her. kasu got a bit shocked at robbie's reaction and she kept standing still where she was.

when robbie sensed her silence he said," aj ishita a rahi hai"

"ishita?? kaun??" kasu asked surprisingly.

"men ne tmhen kabhi ishita k bare men nahin bataya??"robbie turned towards kasturi and asked her in which kasturi's answer was just a shook of her head.

"ahh... men bhi kitna bada idiot hun sb kuch bata dia but us k bare men to bataya hi nahi jo itni khaas hai" robbie was now smiling but kasu's colour was fading.

"ishita wo ladki hai jis se men pyar karta hun"................................___
