Rocket Singh. Konkana was better in WUS, YJHD was just candy floss and DP overshadowed him there and Barfi was just sub standard acc to me and he hammed his way through.

Barfi, Rocket Singh, and WUS. His best. In that order..
WUS would probably have done a lot better today...and maybe Ayan wouldn't have sold out :(

Did Ayan really sell out? I mean that film is sort of like a modern day Kuch Kuch Hota Hai or DDLJ, and I like none of them 😆
It seems to have a lot of genuine love amongst school and college going audiences

YJHD? Yeah that film has a lot of genuine love amongst the college going crowd...it's fun and all, but WUS was clearly better.. It's not that his commercial stuff like YJHD is bad...by sell out I mean Ayan seems to have become or wants to become the KJo of KKHH and has kinda abandoned his own perspective for that. He himself said he just wants to make hit/commercial films only cuz he was so upset that WUS didn't do well. That's the sell out part.

^ Wasn't WUS a moderate successs though? People celebrate even a moderate successs at least it didn't flip. I guess he wanted a more blockbuster type of film but WUS wasn't that.

To answer the topic question: Yes WUS is Ranbir's best film in terms of script, story and overall package of the film. Performances was good top. There was something very genuine, honest and simple about WUS. And not too showy and pretentious like YJHD. I didn't hate YJHD. It's a good time pass film.

Barfi wasn't that great of a film. It was the performances that stood out but the story and script/direction was weak. I also felt it was a little pretentious esp from the direction side. The director trying too hard to be artsy.
