Disappointed with Gayatri's father

So far the guy has been my kind of character..I think it might be safe to say I like him more than Gayatri herself.. He thinks he is no less than anyone.. He is a defender of democracy.. He is a very progressive father who doesnt believe in regressive superstitions like the Manglik?.. He views his daughter as equal to his sons (Feminist of the 1940s).. He is intelligent and now how the view of right and wrong changes with place and time?.. Understands the concept of ethical relativism..

Dont judge abt TRPs. We all know what kind of shows with what kind of tracks gets TRPs 😛 So u never know n it is not the worst also. Other shows have even worse, even her last show also had. Anyways leaving other shows yeah i was not expecting bauji to slap Gayatri n that too without knowing full truth
But still it is not right to comment before watching the scene, so i will wait

G I don't think Govind Seth slapping Gayatri makes him a negative character...or rather say a bad father... Or even CVs butchering his roleMy knowledge on how Govind Seth is protrayed in the show is based on articles I come across...as m yet to watch the show...

But the show ,as in set in 1940s era... Drinking would be a big deal for any family other then may be the royalties!

Even now in India, girl's drinking is not taken or accepted as a good character!

So any father would be disappointed that their daughter drinks... N here Gayatri's situation is already complicated for being unmarried...

I would say let the story unfold !!

Hello Trish! My problem is not Govind Seth putting his daughter on house arrest for drinking that I can understand its India and its 1940s. My problem is he didn't try to hear her side of the story. Only putting Gayatri under house arrest would be so...ummm ..let say kinda what happens in today's generation... If I come drunk in my house, my father gonna get me grounded !😆😆 and I know many father in India would do the same 😆😆 so 1940s me CVs ko kuch extra toh dikhana padege... N it would be a huge shock for Govind that his Ladli,on whom he had trust had come home drunk... he might feel guilty later when he comes to knows that Gayatri wasnt at fault but sometimes people do react before getting to the roots of the problemI m too against men hitting girls ... But we need to understand its a past generation... Maybe that's how it happened , though i have no idea...N m not supporting Govind on hitting, just trying to get his point of views on the whole matter 😳
