New Delhi: Reality TV probably never had India in it's hard grip ever before. The tension is palpable in Shillong ahead of the Indian Idol finals. Local boy Amit Paul is pitted against Darjeeling's Prashant Tamang.

"No sister can ever explain the love and support I am getting from the people of Shillong, from India and even from the whole world. People love him so much that I'm not able to express it. I am running out of words. I am on top of the world, " says Amit's proud sister.
