Plz keep characterization of Shaurya intact

I'm fully aware that Hindi TV serials are women-oriented. Like or dislike, I've accepted this as non-changeable Fact. My point is - why is it necessary, that to boost women characters, the male character should be sacrificed? What sort of glory it provides to female characters? Why a male character cant have a clear, distinct n powerful personality ALONGWITH female characters?
Ek ko adha mitti mein dabaakar hi kyon dusara upar, hawaa mein nazar aaye? Dono kyon ek hi zameen par, side by side khade nahi ho sakte?
eg. In yesterday's epi. When Inspector insinuated something about romance, Shaurya realizes, police may blacken Diya's character bcoz of his presence beside her. So he called his mother fr Diya's cuddling n moral support, and 3 went straight to Commissioner of police, Mumbai. Generally higher officers are well mannered n seeing an editor, NGO woman n a crime reporter as victim, listens to them, calls that inspector. Badhiya jhaad padti hai usse. What then?
Would it have degraded any of the character? Urmi n Shaurya both can have equal knowledge of Law. (actually Diya shud also, being crime reporter, knowledge of law related to her work ws must, bt suppose she ws too distressed n agonized to think clearly). So Shaurya n Urmi both could argue n stand firm for Diya.
IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?
Isn't it in accordance with Urmi & Shaurya's chatacterization?
Let me make it clear. Shaurya's characterization is still not clearly defined. All that makers have cleared abt him, is his profession - that he is an editor & owner of a newspaper Awaaz. That this newspaper is nt some gossip magazine/paper, but a daily newspaper, which means it daily publishes all types of news, from political to local, to world, news, to articles, TV-Cinema, crime, sports everything. That, being the editor all types of news goes through Shaurya's eyes and published with his sanctioning.
This means he has good knowledge of whats going on in and around in society, law n world genarally. Also he reads newspaper daily morning with his coffee. So Shaurya is well aware of normal state of affairs in this world.
This is what goes automatically with a character as Editor-in-chief. Makers n writers have to take it fr granted that this is an inseparable part of the character, they created.
Question is - yesterday when Shaurya was shown ignorant of an essential law abt which he MUST HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE, suits this character?
I want to make it very clear that, I'm NOT asking makers to keep Kunal more and more in camera frame, particularly to demean other characters. That wud be as bad as presenting shaurya as ignorant, bcoz that may badly affect the tempo of the story.
I know it very well, that once the characters n theme etc are established in a story, the story runs at its pace, characters coming as per situation, theme and characterization. All the characters get space as and when needed, so demanding one character kills the spirit of story. So no point in asking fr it.
My point is, I repeat, plz give full justice to the character you've created. Ek ko chadhaane ke liye dusare ko mat girao! Have some semblance. It was makers' choice to give us an editor in chief as hero. No problem. So let him be Really An Editor in Chief keeping in mind all the charateristics that go along with this type of character, thats all I want.
Honestly, apart from his profession, all that we know abt Shaurya is - he is the son of evil, egoist Samrat, brought up by a strong, righteous woman Urmi n greatly impressed n influenced by good man Ishan. Him being that dumb does nt fit in this too.
Other than that Shaurya is a mystery. So in future makers can mold him in any form, hero like Ishan/Urmi or villanous like Samrat OR an anti-hero. This is makers choice n I've nothing to say what they should make him. They know better. Its entirely makers' choice and decision and the need ofG story/chnl. Its none of myY business. I respect and welcome their decision and will wait patiently till they unfold it as n when they like. Bcoz of Kunal I'm bound to watch the show anyway. In spite of my liking fr Kunal, I wont ask fr more of his scenes. Ye bakar ki zid hogi. Not by me.

Shaurya is an editor/owner of a daily news paper where Urmi runs a NGO, their professions are different so does their SOURCE of knowledge,

Shaurya mostly handles office works, he has no practical experience, of course he has knowledge about laws but not as much as Urmi.

Yesterday's epi, there was many small scenes which were indicating towards Shaurya's knowledge n presence of mind,

He introduced himself as the editor of Aawaj not as Diya's friend, he gave his professional identity to avoid any wrong question on his relationship with Diya, it was his presence of mind

His body language, his control over his temper, his looks to those inspectors, his answers were very much like someone who is very well aware about the situation around...

I do agree with your point ki there is no need to sacrifice male lead to show women power,

but in yesterday's epi I feel there was a balance between Shaurya n Urmi

just my POV.

😊..agree everyword of urs dew...sure an intelligent dedicated owener of a news paper that too a son of a person running an NGO...surely will b well informed and knowledgable...it is really unfortunate that our industry always focus on women..ok thy attract te attention of te women viewrs every single show surrounds on te sufferings of a woman..n te men are made to b just coming and going nodding head to women idols...highly unfortunate ..it is time to change te attitude and bring a change...
in te begining thy were anxious to intoduce all te characters...besides diya and shaurya almost te characters are almost conveyed...unfortunately te lead female and male characters are not conveyed properly...even before we understand them and te relationship between them abruptly came te shocking twist...it was really hard for us to accept...
diya was shown like a bit too much...she takes advantage of her employer..poke her knows and comments at ishaani...n trying to fix a date for her boss...n shaurya is telling she is my dosht..te place she holds in shaurya's family and te relationship between them was not clearly conveyed..
and still we do not know who is shaurya ...? ...but at his point he cant not b an anti hero ..otherwise it will dilute te impact of te drama...thy could have taken some time in conveying te characters..n chikku too could ve given some space...and even te intro of other characters could have been later with te flow of story at any point of time...
and i personally wish it would b nice if te story line shows shaurya fights for Diya with te help of urmi rather the other way round...yes women has to come out and fight i agree...but if there is a man fights for her it again gives her hope ..n wipes off te bitterness and untrust and anger she has towards te men society...n unfortunatley men are biassed gender based diparity is alwyas there...thy dont easily accept a view if it comes from a women ...n if it comes from a man thy acknowledge...wants to follow him n be a hero like him...surely if te story line focus on sharurya fighting for diya will bring a tremndous impact on the society...
YES PLEASE KEEP CHARACATERIZATION OF SHAURYA INTACT..THIS IS WILL B AN ICONIC ONE IF IT FOCUS MORE OF SHAURYA FIGHTING FOR DIYA...

IT IS ONLY RAJARAM MOHAN ROY WHO COULD ABOLISH TE SYSTEM OF SATHI...

Agree that there is no need to pull Shaurya down to glorify Urmi...but this serial has been about Urmi's fight from the beginning...And there had to be some way to involve her in Diya's case...In fact, I was almost expecting her to turn up every day at Diya's home instead of Shaurya to pull her back to life...but the writers put SHaurya to that mission, didn't they? And I'm so thankful to them for those amazing scenes that I am ready to look past the ignorance of Shaurya regarding the rules...

I do not exactly know what Shaurya replied to the police officer when he refused to file FIR but I was in the impression that some negotiation was going on between Shaurya and the police to get the report filed. I think by the time Urmi came in, Shaurya had not given up his battle with the police. Even if Urmi was not there Shaurya would have resorted to something... maybe using his power as Chief Editor. But the story also belonged to Urmi, thus this glory was given to her... Besides a woman of a motherly nature was what Diya needed, as her own mum has failed to support her. This whole week Urmi was shown in petty scene of handling Isha's silly behaviour... so something to signify her presence in the show

Thanks fr sharing ur thots. Enlightening.

Agree with you. A motherly figure was needed fr Diya. Urmi shud nt be sidelined. My point ws Shaurya, giving his position cant be ingorant of New Laws which oten gets published in newspapers like Awaaz. It did nt suit his characterization. Thts all. Otherwise story so far hs moved on smoothly n nicely.
Thnx fr cmnt.😊
