A cold wind blew banging the opened windows of his room. Too lazy to get up was he, simply took the pillow to cover his ears. His late night dreams continued too long. There was something in his dreams that made him sleep peacefully. His dreams had become his reality.
Someone pulled the pillow down to wake him up.
"5 minutes please.", he murmured sleepily.
"No.", he heard a soft melodious voice.
It was her, his lady love. Without a thought he pulled her on the bed. Lying next to him, she managed to smile.
Pulling her in his embrace, caressing her forehead he complained, " you made me wait so long. Didn't you miss me?"
Her tone resembled the softness of a feather. That is what he liked about her. A soft spoken chirpy girl who wouldn't stop fighting with him, only him. With others she would fumble, stumble and couldn't say a word. The different behavior with him made him feel special.
Lost in her eyes, he didn't even hear her request to leave him.
" Leave me please.", she struggled to get up but his weight didn't allow her to.
" Do you even know how much i missed you.", he mumbled near her lips. Leaving a quick peck on her lips he shifted to her cheeks.
Her heart was beating faster as if it would burst out. He always had made her feel special.
She blushed beneath him, trying to hide her face in his chest. He lifted her chin up. He wanted to spent his entire life looking into her eyes, so true so honest and so pure they were, a clear reflection of her heart.
He didn't knew for how long how laid like that. The sun shone brightly.
"PRIYOM", he heard his name called. It was her voice.
He got up and turned behind. Poonam was standing at the door. she was well-clad in saree, the way he expected her to be. But that wasn't for him. She had a sindoor of his brother's name.
" Badi amma is calling you for lunch. Its 12." , she said.
Teary-eyed she left from there. She could sense what must have transpired. After all, soulmates they were.
Priyom could never stay away from her. Yes, she was married to his brother but she wasn't happy too.
His dream had ended abruptly. How much he wanted it go on. He banged his fists angrily. Something pricked his feet. It was the TV remote.The TV got switched on abruptly with a song playing-
