Chapter 6
"Its 1 pm now time for your databases class Nandani" Naviya told Nandani while sitting in cafeteria.
"Hmmm i know Naviya..." Nandani said while holding her face with her hand. From today's encounter with Manik, Nandani was continuously trying to forget what happened and know the mere mention of class bring back all what happened to her mind.
"What Nandani? Listen if you don't want to attend his class then you can leave that course whenever you want. Remember you are just improving." Naviya tried to calm Nandani down by giving her different options by which she can avoid Manik.
But Nandani don't know why although her mind was really angry with Manik but her heart didn't want to miss any chance to see him again. She was not understanding what this feeling was but she defiantly knew that her heart was playing tricks with her. But for once she agreed to what her heart said and decided to continue the course.
"No Naviya leave him. He is just my teacher nothing more than that na? So I don't have to run away from him just because what he did. I was not wrong and I know it so I would continue this course no matter what." What Nandani just said made her heart feel comfortable.
But Naviya became more suspicious about Manik and Nandani. She knew that there is defiantly something between them they are still not understanding. But let them understand on their know Naviya told herself and smiled a little.
Nandani walked into the classroom but the students were leaving the class. She asked one of her junior "Hey hello where is everybody going? Isn't there class of Sir Manik?"
"No. Sir Dhruv came just 2 mints before and told us that Sir Manik was not feeling well so he went back to his home early morning." The junior said and went out of the class room.
Nandani don't know why but she got a little angry and her mind said See I told you he is not worth it. That arrogant Manik left just because of you Nandani. Ok them if he does not want to face me then i would leave this course right know. Nandani's brain at last win the fight. She came back to Naviya and asked her that she don't want to continue this course anymore.
"But why Nandani just a while ago you said that you would continue why is the sudden change in decision?" Naviya asked in confusion.
"Naviya he don't want to see me in front of his eyes. That's why he left early today and didn't attended the class. So before he himself ask me to leave his class I myself would leave."
"Nandani may be you are just over thinking han??"
"No Naviya I am not..." Nandani said while crushing her teeth.
"Ok ok fine but just for me at least wait for a week han? It's been just 2 days yar just give this course some time." Naviya knew that Nandani is just angry know and when her anger would lower down a little she would defiantly regret her decision.
"Naviyaaa..." Nandani looked toward Naviya angrily
"Pleaseee just for me??..." Naviya made the cutest pout ever to convince Nandani.
"Ok fine but let me ask from admin office that whether I can leave this course after one week or not..." Nandani agreed at last.
"Wao thank you sooo much dear love you." Naviya happily jumped and take Nandani in to a bone crushing hug.
Nandani was finding Naviya's behavior strange. But it doesn't matter I always fine her strange whenever she talks about our final year project. Nandani thought to herself and mentally giggled.
Nandani was satisfied when the clerk told her that she can leave the course whenever she wants before the midterm exam.

Here in Manik's house he was totally out. Because for the first time in his life he insulted someone that badly. Nandani would be so hurt. She was right I deserve worst then what she did to me. How am I gone face her know. Manik was lying on his bed placing his face under the pillow when his phone rang.
He read the caller ID and said "Ah Cabir perfect timing" and accepted the call.
"Hello Manik how are you bro?"
"I am not fine yar..." Manik replied in a low tone.
"O no not again yar don't tell me it's that girl again."
"Yup you are right it's her again..."
"Manik yar I know you since we were in first standard. You never showed any interest in girls but now whenever I call you. You are always ready with a new story about that girl." Cabir said while teasing Manik.
"Stop it na Cabir..."
"Ok Manik byta start from where I don't know what happened..."
Manik explained that how she said sorry to her and how she filled his car with water and next day she was there to say sorry but how he insulted her.
"O wooo Manik that girl filled your gas tank with water han? Hahahaha yar believe it or not I liked her style of taking revenge and saying sorry too."
"Cabir stop parsing her and tell me what should I do now?"
"Ok Manik now promise me from now on you won't do anything without my permission as you have already spoiled this matter a lot Ok?"
"Aaa ok Cabir but tell me what to do."
"Ok now listen tomorrow when you go for your lecture..."

Next day Manik went to his class with hope that Nandani would be sitting there.
But he was disappointed to see that Nandani was not there. So she don't want to see you Manik. Manik was lost in his thoughts When all his students said "Sir are you ok?"
"Hmmm yup i am fine. Lets start our today's lecture" Manik said and started the lecture...

"Nandani what are you still doing here?" Naviya asked to Nandani while closing Nandani's laptop.
"What are you doing Naviya? I was working on the project and that code was almost complete yar what have you done?" Nandani complained.
"What Nandani you said you would give this course some time but how would you pass when you don't even attend the class?"
"Naviyaaa please yar don't irritate me I just don't want to face him for at least some days." Yup Nandani you are going great for the first time in your life you are listing to your brain and not your heart. Nandani thought but she don't know why she felt as if her heart was missing something what was that she didn't want to waste her time on it.
"Hmmm ok as you wish." Naviya said while thinking what should i do with this girl.

After the class Manik straight went towards the notice board to see BS CS 8th time table Hmmm let see. Dame she don't have any more classes today.
He came back to his office. He was becoming restless for the reason unknown.
May be because you didn't get a chance to say sorry to Nandani today. Manik's brain suggested him.
Or maybe you missed her presence today. His heart gave its own opinion.
"O please not again stop it" Manik said while holding his head. His phone rang. And the call from his best friend Cabir.
"Hello Manik how did the plan goes? Did she accepted you're sorry?"
"She didn't even came to the class yar."
"Hmmm so the matter is even more serious than I thought"
"I don't know yar she is so different. You can't predict what she would do next."
"Yup such an unpredictable girl. Manik yar you have found the most different and difficult piece of the world for you. HAHAHAHA"
"CABIRRR..."
"Sorry sorry I almost forget that she is just your student nothing else. Han so now what to do. Hmmm" Cabir thought for a while. Then at once he said "Yup idea rest of the plan would remain same but you need to try harder man."
"Tell me what I have to do? I would try"
"Ok then listen..."

Next day Manik did exactly what Cabir asked him to do. And waited for the Nandani in the corridor. He knew where her first class would be so he arranged everything according to that. It is almost 9 am. Come on Nandani. Manik waited for her in the corridors.
After sometime he saw Nandani and Naviya coming for the lecture. Nandani saw him and turned her face away from him but he was determined thin time. "Ms. Nandani come here I need to talk to you." Manik called Nandani but she didn't pay attention to him. Even Naviya pointed her but she didn't looked towards him. She was about to pass by him when he held her arm tight and said "I am sorry but I have to do this" While looking it to Nandani's eyes.
Nandani tried her best to free her arm from Manik's hold but all in vain. Manik look towards Naviya and said "Please tell Prof. Aditya that Nandani would not be able to attend today's class." He didn't wait for any reply from Naviya and dragged Nandani with him in to a lecture room near where they were standing.
Naviya stay stunned on her place. But when Prof. Aditya pass by her and said "Ms. Naviya are you coming or should I start the class without you?" She again became aware of her surroundings and said "Yup sir I am coming after you" She went to the class but in her heart she was happy that now Nandani and Sir Manik would finally resolve their differences.

"Leave me..." Nandani protested when Manik locked the door and put the keys in to his pocket.
"Mr. Malhotra I am telling you if you..." But forget to complete her sentence when she saw the whole room filed with chart papers saying I am sorry. She turned to see the whole room she couldn't find just a little space on any wall which didn't have any chart paper.
She don't know why but her heart was doing somersault. Her eyes filled with tears when she looked towards Manik. He was holding his ears with his hands.
"I am sorry Nandani for what I said. I was totally wrong my mind was totally blank with anger. I don't know what I was saying. I know I should not have said that. And I also know that I don't deserve your apology but it's my request that please give me one chance and I would never hurt you. Ever."
He said all those words with such an intensity that Nandani almost forget to protest. But her mind tried its level best to drag Nandani back to reality. Nandani you would accept his apology just like that?
But that day not only Manik but I also said harsh words... Nandani's heart argued.
Ok then so you have decided that you would accept his apology?
Yup I guess...
Ok then just for me ask him that why in the first place he is saying sorry to you? You are just his student. And most of the teachers don't even care about what happen to their students then why he is being so generous with you?
No it would be very rude of me...
Nandani please...Nandani's mind pleaded.
"Nandani please say something?" Nandani's silence was making Manik more and more nervous.
"Sir! But why my apology matter so much to you?" Nandani asked with a heavy heart but her mind was very happy now.
Manik himself didn't knew why he was doing this. But he said "I have never done this to anyone before and I was feeling very guilty. And I don't want that any of my student don't attend the class just because I said something really bad to them."
Nandani don't know why but her heart felt little pain. Why you are hurt know did you expected something different? Her brain asked in a taunting way. Now go ahead he has explained which I asked for now accept the apology.
With a heavy heart she said "I am sorry too sir I was also very rude to you. And what you did to say sorry is more than enough for me." And tried her level best to pass a smile and she did succeeded.
Manik was more than happy now he don't know why but his heart felt much lighter now. Instantly he hugged her and said "O thank you so much you don't know how much relived I am feeling now."
Nandani was shocked on this reaction because she didn't expected that much from him. Her heart which was feeling a little heavy just some moments ago was more than happy now.
After some time when Manik came to his senses he realized what he has done. He backed from the hug at once and avoid looking in to her eyes. Both of them didn't said anything for sometime.
Finally Manik broke the silence and said "So friends?" and extended his right hand for her.
Nandani's heart was jumping with joy but didn't wanted to show that to him for the reason unknown. And said "Yup I guess a teacher and a student should be friends if they want to explore more about the subject." While saying this she accepted Manik's friendship offer.
"Yup sure they should be" Manik said with a voice full of happiness.
"Hmmm so now today you are going to attend my class and its final ok?" Manik said with a handsome smile on his face.
"Yes sir!" Nandani while giving a salute. Manik couldn't control his laugh on her cuteness soon Nandani joined him. And they both laughed together.
"Ok now off you go it's almost 10:30 am your class would end anytime." Manik said while controlling his laugh.
Nandani nodded still smiling ear to ear and went to open the door. But Manik has locked it earlier. She turned to ask him to unlock the door. At once her smile vanished and Manik understand what Nandani must be thinking. He came running towards her and said in a low voice "I am really sorry. Nandani I..."
Nandani placed her hand on Manik's mouth and said "Sir I told you its ok you don't need to say that again."
Nandani was so lost in his eyes that she didn't even realize that he has already unlocked the door. He tried to tell her that the door is open now by moving his eyes towards the door. Nandani couldn't understand what he was saying. She gave him the questioning look. He removed her hand from his mouth and said "I am saying that the door is open now."
