You got me sippin' on something
I can't compare to nothing
I've ever known, I'm hoping
That after this fever I'll survive
Roshni claps as Misha slips the engagement ring on HIS finger. Yes, now he was no more hers. She was alone, all alone. Siddharth looks up at her with teary eyes; she fakes a smile at him. She couldn't break down in front of him, as he would be shattered more than what he already was. She turns and runs inside her room; he tries to go after her but Misha clinges on to him. He stares down at her and breathes in heavily, with a heavy heart he walks out of the pent house.
I know I'm acting a bit crazy
Strung out, a little bit hazy
Hand over heart, I'm praying
That I'm gonna make it out alive
She closes the door behind her, locking it. Slowly with her back on the door she slides down and sits on the ground hugging her knees. She had been keeping her tears in for a long time, but now no one was there to see her. She starts bawling her eyes out as she recalls Sid screaming that he will marry Misha. She gets up in a haze and starts throwing the books and the other things kept on the study table as she remembers how Misha was clinging on to Siddharth.
The bed's getting cold and you're not here
The future that we hold is so unclear
But I'm not alive until you call
And I'll bet the odds against it all
She falls down on her knees beside the bed and cries her pain out. After a while, she lingers her finger on the bed sheet as she remembers the times spent with him on that room. It was supposed to be a happy day for them; they were supposed to spend the rest of their lives together. But now all she could see was darkness in her future. She did not know how she would live without him; he was her life for Godsakes!
Save your advice 'cause I won't hear
You might be right but I don't care
There's a million reasons why I should give you up
But the heart wants what it wants
It's been a week now, since their engagement. All she does is stay in her room cuddled up with his pink t-shirt that she loved on him the most. DD and Nani were tired of making her understand that what she was doing would have a bad affect on her health. But she did not listen to anyone. In a week she had lost weight, the glow from her skin had vanished in the darkness of the room she lived in.
You got me scattered in pieces
Shining like stars and screaming
"I know I made you do this.. but I can't.." she sobbed and inhaled the scent off the t-shirt. It was the only thing she had of him which could make her believe that he was present in her life. He had not visited their house since the engagement as he had promised DD.
Lightening me up like Venus
But then you disappear and make me wait
Suddenly she feels that someone is staring at her and she looks up. He was standing at her door with his arms wide open. She leaves the shirt on the bed and runs towards him. But as soon as she reaches there he disappears and she stands still embracing the emptiness.
And every second's like torture
Hell over trip, no more so
Finding a way to let go
Baby baby no I can't escape
She sits in front of the mirror as tears rolled down her cheeks. Finally she looks up and sees herself on the mirror. She touches her cheeks and then her hair, everything was messed up. This was not her; she couldn't break down like this. She had promised him that she would live happily after he was gone.
This is a modern fairytale
No happy endings
No wind in our sails
Next day, she surprises her family as she comes out from her room to have breakfast with them. She talks sweetly and happily with them, making them wonder what happened overnight. She pretends to be normal and cheerful as she had to move on someday or the other.
But I can't imagine a life without
Breathless moments
Breaking me down down down
As she sits down to have breakfast, she sees that Siddharth's favourite dish was made. It instantly brought tears in her eyes, and she holds it back not wanting to cry in front of them. She excuses herself and runs to her bedroom.
The bed's getting cold and you're not here
The future that we hold is so unclear
But I'm not alive until you call
And I'll bet the odds against it all
She sits on the bed and cries, "It's too difficult for me, I am not strong enough" she said out. She takes out the shirt from her cupboard and says, "I want you, I just want you and nothing else. Please come back to me. I'm sorry that I made you do that! Come back, PLEASE!!"
Save your advice 'cause I won't hear
You might be right but I don't care
There's a million reasons why I should give you up
But the heart wants what it wants
She buries her face in it and weeps. "Why did you make me do that? Aren't you the Goddess of Stupidity?" he said. She stops crying and looks up to find him gazing at her with tears flowing down his cheeks. "Siddharth?" she said and takes a step towards him. "You ruined my shirt!" he said and takes a step towards her snatching it from her hands. She looks at the shirt and then at him, he was THERE. He was real. She smacks him hard on his chest continuously. "You stupid boy, you are worried about the shirt??" He holds her hands and takes her in his embrace, wrapping his hands around her and holding her as tightly as possible.
The heart wants what it wants baby
"But what about Misha?" she asked him, trying to loosen the hug. But he keeps holding on to her and says,
"I admitted her to the mental asylum. You don't know what she was trying to do."
"What??" she whispered on his chest.
"She tried to physically assault me!!" 😲😲
I am so looking forward to read your comments on this one 😆 Listen to the song if you haven't !! 😃
