so if they go with the current track of Masooma and Mazahar.....do u guys feel uncomfortable with it eventhough its a part of ur culture.....???? do u think other ppl who r not muslims would not feel disgusted with tht love story.....???

i kno its just a soap but this whole scenario has created confusion in my mind.....so after judging other ppl's opinion i would be able to see where i stand.....

Actually its not just Muslims, Cousin marriages are accepted in South Indian Hindu families as well. Even though people dont do it any more coz of medical reasons

One factor in olden days would be to keep/consolidate family wealth/land etc.

hey well Im not sure bout da medical resons tho wat u heard is not completely true. If cousins marry dere children wont rlly have probs. But if it continues for many generations then da mutations occur. The children wuld not be normally. If my info didnt help u can luk it up on yahoo. they will have more accurate info. LOL I hope dis will help u. 😊 😊 😊

this whole marrying a cousin thing reminds me of Harry Potter. most dark wizards n supporters of pure-blood, marry their own cousins so as to keep the pure-blood thing. This was wat i reminded of 😛

Yes it is right
We muslims can marry in our cousins
like to the son/daughter of ur parents bro/sis's son/daughter

coz in Quran, God allow us this

and thats why Hijab is compulsary for girls in front of any men except her father and brother

one thing more was that in starting of Islam, the no of muslim women was more than men and in Islam, a girl can't marry a non-muslim so this is also a reason

In my family, we mostly have marriages in our family

hope its clear now
😳
