Plenty, it seems, as the actor signs up for cooking classes to woo his onscreen corporate begum.
Arjun Kapoor, who's playing Kareena Kapoor's better half in R Balki's as-yet-untitled romcom, is every wife's fantasy. He manages the house, balances multiple chores and has a hot dinner ready when his biwi, a corporate biggie, returns home after a hard day's work and stretches out on the couch. It's a choice he makes so his Mrs can pursue her career single-mindedly.
Mirror had earlier reported (June 5) that the actors had been locked up at the filmmaker's Khar office all week, rehearsing the script and undergoing dialect training in the course of a fullfledged workshop.
After that, Kareena took off for a holiday first to Maldives and then to London to spend quality time with her real life husband Saif Ali Khan and indulge in some shopping therapy with sister Karisma Kapoor. And Arjun stayed true to his character. He insisted that he wanted to improve his culinary skills. Urged on by his director, he got into a long prep which included taking cooking classes.
"Yes, Arjun is deep into prep for his upcoming film with Balki. He likes to get into the thick of things before the shoot starts and this is no exception. From script readings to cooking classes, he will be working closely with Balki and his team," the actor's spokesperson told Mirror.
Arjun is also spending a lot more time with his younger sister, Anshula. He is observing her closely to learn how she behaves around the house so he can pick up some cues for his role. "Arjun has also started interacting with a couple of real stay-at-home husbands to get a sense of how they go about their everyday life and handle the daily chores efficiently," added the spokesperson.
At this rate, Kareena who can't stop raving about her nawabi soulmate, will soon have another 'hubby' to gush over. One who uses his culinary skills to curry favour.
