First of all, who's barking. I am responding to your assertion that with BARC QH1 could have gone higher, with my own assertion that QH2 could've surpassed QH1.
Let's go down your points, shall we.
Look, first of all just because SaHil fans have not made it number one on IF doesn't have bearing on ratings. Not all care to hit chaksa meter and comment on articles three times, etc etc. Just because AsYa fans felt like doing it doesn't mean SaHil fans need to do it. We can support the show just fine by watching it and discussing what needs to be discussed.
And AsYa fans had no complaints? Are you kidding me? Go back and see the pages from QH1. There were fights and topics about Asad's MCP, Asad's slap, and even what some termed as Zoya's interfering and busibodiness I think.
What does pure and impure have to do with anything? Just because it bothers you, what does that mean? Asad's MCP insults and slap was better huh?
The reason for the party was obvious. Just because I didn't mention it back then didn't mean I didn't realize or suspect what they were doing. What they were doing was trying to get the negative publicity and news out. And their purpose was served because after that there were no negative publicity, speculation and articles. And yes the ratings fell but it was IPL week, and they recovered within three weeks.Week after IPL finals week it was slight, after that it dropped down to third on zee but after that it went back up and was back at two.So in essence they ended up being right in partying and what I suspect was a motivating factor for the partying.
Finally about QH2 surpassing QH1. I said it and I stick to it. The fact that last week's BARC and TAM show such a difference only solidifies what I am saying. The audience and system in BARC would have made QH2 more successful than it was under TAM. QH2 had a gripping story and an amazing paring. The pairing never got the focus it deserved due to pressure for TRPs. The fact that BARC ratings were so good for last week while TAM ratings are not goes to show exactly how there's a difference in what kind of stories and shows can be considered viable. With BARC I believe QH2 would have gone higher with the story itself and they would have had more license to show more of SaHil.
And I said QH2 not QH3. QH3 is still up for debate. While QH2 I am quite sure about. By the way, QH1 debuted at a time with no TRPs, positive publicity and almost three months without having to worry about TRPs. QH3 had a similar advantage of a month but they had negative publicity and all the upheaval that was going on both offscreen matters and within story.
