Alia and Varun seem to be in great demand across the industry. It appears that Mani Ratnam was keen to make the Hindi version of his film OK Kanmani with the two actors. But the negotiations fell through and the director resorted to making the Tamil version.

I think Alia might do great under his direction. He can prob extract a better performance from her than Highway! Not sure about Varun. He has done great commercially but I am not that impressed by acting prowess as of yet.

Last line parh, negotiations fell, so they won't be in hindi remake as it isn't in making.

Sounds interesting. I want to see them work in the same film under an acclaimed director. If it ever happens though i hope it's with a different production and not Dharma again

alia being the first choice for this one was around back then (I think she would have done a good job too, coz her role has shades of ananya from 2 states)..but where is the news about varun being under consideration for OKK, suddenly coming from?🤔❓

varun-alia pairing is highly overrated IMO..

anyway..love dulquer-nitya pairing too much in this one..so yeah whateverrr!
