Sanjay Leela Bhansali scared to take on Shah Rukh Khan after Saawariya debacle!
With this, a big clash between two big films has been avoided
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's dream project Bajirao Mastani starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra was to release on December 18. But now that Rohit Shetty hasannounced that his multi starrer Dilwale starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon will hit theatres on the same date, Bhansali wants to postpone the release of his historic drama.
Last week there was buzz that Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani are all set to clash at the box office, but SLB wants to avoid this clash as it is his dream project. We hear that the filmmkaer is aiming for a solo release in 2016. A source sais, " Dilwale will see Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol share screen space after a gap of five years " their last release together was My Name is Khan (2010) " and there will obviously be hype around it. Bhansali doesn't want to take chances with Bajirao Mastani and is therefore planning to push the release of the film ahead.
The source further added, "Yes, the release of Bajirao Mastani' is being pushed ahead. The film is Bhansali's dream project and the director is aiming for a solo release in 2016."
Way back in 2007, Bhansali's Saawariya released along with Shah Rukh and Deepika's Om Shanti Om, Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor's love story bombed at the box-office. Also no films are generally released on the same date as SRK's coz they end up tanking at the box office, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is now scared to take on SRK after the Saawariya debacle.
