@seedibaat ye nautanki hai. Nautanki actually is much better than this. Actually nautanki is a form of folk theatre with proper stories related to the folk lores of each place. It's a kind of street drama which gives proper message.
What they showed yesterday is not nautanki, calling it nautanki is insulting nautanki as an art form.
What MK showed was the important ingredient of Indian soap, treat the DIL badly. Show her as the person between mother and son.
Actually if the DIL is behaving badly with mother it is the son who should be blamed. He is the one who is unable to balance out his relation between his mom and wife and then slapping her to prove his might. 😡. Our shows tend to show only mother is necessary, wife is just an addendum and should not have any rights or any say on her husband.
Both woman are important. Son was a part of mother for nine months when she carried him in her womb, but wife is a part of him, Ardhangnini. One is past, other is present. Present has to be respected in the right way by the past. That doesn't mean we let go of past. it is always told that we should never forget the way we came and our past too should be respected.
But worshipping past without respecting present is destroying future is my take on the whole business though the TV world and TRP aunites will never be able to gauge its meaning.
