Cancer or TB - usually when people get a fatal diagnosis they want to create memories for themselves & their families before passing away. Now for them to even consider showing an educated dentist, who chased her husband around an airport for trying to sacrifice himself for her happiness...run away from her family is unpalatable.

As is Raman even allowing Shagun's near his children. Kids needs moms but she doesn't deserve a 10th chance. She almost got her children killed.

So even if the spoiler is false or whatever - it leaves a bad taste.

I wanted to catch up on this stupid Subbu track to laugh & see Raman emerge as RKB for his family...but part of me just doesn't care now to watch with the stupid rumors.

I hated the idea of a leap bc they usually kill shows & EK has a knack for killing couples with them. But people here had managed to convince me that maybe with a leap they will be mature & continue to show Ishita-Raman together.

That has been the USP of the show since the time slot change - the main couple together despite everything, and they are about to spoil it.

The sad thing though is, depending on how long they stretch the potential separation...the reunion & potential final honeymoon will gather crap tons of TRPs. And this will again push Shagun to full villain status.

Outside of us - no one cares that this separation mixes in their vile, cheating, cruel exes...which even if it's temporary - it defeats the original premise of the show.

Also I loved that track in Ek Hazaroon...I didn't watch the show ardently, but it was a gorgeous track.

Even Ram Kapoor's new show on Sony is about how a cancer diagnosis actually impacts a family. No ludicrous sacrificing or anything.

Why must OTT drama only be their route? Why can't realism be used? Realism can be shown with drama as the first 9 months of this show demonstrated.

EK is using the same tracks she used 15 years ago. It's sickening to see that BS like this continues to work, and what's even worse is the actors of this show will give breath-taking performances like always.

We are actually fools to expect something different from balaji. The ultimate truth is that after an initial run, all balaji serials go the same way irrespective of what the viewers want. YHM is soon gonna turn a BALH v2

Even our films r talking about what women want n not Ideal women shud do. Eg- English Winglish, Queen, Tanu Weds Manu, Piku, Kahani etc.

The only reason I can only think of for this regressive Soch related to both Men (who r portrayed as treating women as punching bags) n Women (portrayed as self sacrificing, Do gooder) is that people watching it loves to watch this. I mean look at Saathiya/ KumKum Bhagya/ Sasural Simar ka or pick any other show ruling TRP charts its coz People r watching such shows.

N afterall for PH/ Channel its more about Money than Morals or giving a Positive social message.

Yep Bollywood is being turned to not just a man-run show, but why in hell cant TV show either equality or run on a ML? Why must the ML be portrayed as flawed, which to some degree is more relatable, while the FL are these incredible self-sacrificing, never wrong people?

I totally hate it, which is why I never got really really into desi shows, but YHM seemed so promising because even though it still had a usually right FL it was balanced by a strong ML.

Star Plus's nayi soch promotion is just a scheme. They don't truly get nayi soch. They just want money.

Honestly I can think of 50 reasons a couple separates, even memory loss is a better then this idea. Which women does this to her husband, specially when she's dying. Truth is Balaji can't think away from leaps and nonsense. Plus man 5-10 year leap that is disgusting. You can do a 6 month one and separate them for more sane reasons such as depression etc. but no Balaji wants to glorify Shagun and Subbu

True...literally YHM probably could've been spared from some of this if the time slot change put them at Masterchief's slot & not sandwiched between the women are devis block.

Plus I think EHT's time slot is what hurt it for TRPs. These younger shows would do better at later slots but they keep sticking them near prime time. YHM did great at 11 bc of the urban audience. Idk seems silly. They could use their primetime nonsense shows to gather TRPs & leave 1 slot for a content driven show. But pity that doesn't make money...

That's why I liked when they had Star One bc at least the shows on that channel were geared towards a different audience. Some of the shows were a bit OTT but not like primetime. They had well known PHs deliver to a younger subset.

Idk things won't change until the average TV audience doesn't become more populated by younger folk, but that may not happen bc most "modern audiences" that I know are adverse to desi soaps due to years of conditioning. 😆 Or if they move to a seasons format or limited series because expecting daily episodes that span 3+ years is insane.
