All i mean is..hits are important for a LEADING lady in BW

Yes shabana tabu are there and getting good work but to continue as a leading heroine you need box office

I kinda blame Vidya for the current situation. Its not just important to have hits...its important to cash in too. She hardly did that. She did Ghanchakkar because he hubby convinced her. Then HAK she didnt want to do...Bhatts were after her so she has done it. Apart from that she did only SKSE and Bobby Jasoos...both comedies.but with weak/new directors. She rejected Sujoy Ghosh's movies due to ill health. She wasnt interested in cashing in and instead took it easy. Even now I dont think she is very interested in being at the top. Its a fiercely competitive industry and you need to be pushy.

I really want this movie to do justice to her because she is capable of delivering a great performance that is without doubt. I think like you said if she was hesitant for HAK, she should have stepped back and she definitely was. I also heard Mohit Suri was insistent on Shraddha for this movie but Bhatt was adamant, this is visible in his lack of interest in the album. For every movie he has been meticulous about the music and its promotion.

I may be wrong ofcourse but just got the feeling that Mohit wasn't happy with VB because he isn't the kind of director that cares about the acting of his actresses but more so the look and chemistry.

She needs one good role, perhaps another biopic and she can bounce back that is ofcourse if she still has that ambition in her to do so.

Very true...no one was interested..neither Vidya not MS. They did it for Mahesh Bhatt's sake which was a wrong reason.
And I agree..she needs one good role...but she doesnt really have the ambition of the time around when she did TDP and Kahaani.

😆vidya is not a superstar like ash and kareena who is going to open a movie big everytime.

she is an actor first, she will always have selected fans who will throng to see her movies.

some of her movies will work, some won't. and yes, she is in the lines of tabu, shabana, konkena, kangana.

i hope if kangana gives a floppy tomorrow, we don't start screaming...see she is a floppy.

let's leave the boxoffice for superstarni's like ash, kareena, kat, deepika, etc.

fingers crossed they open big when their movies arrive at windows...after all they are paid much much more than vidya balan and kangana, and they are holding top 5 spots on ormex and boxoffice rankings.
