Life Ok works on Clean Ganga drive. During DKDM time too there was a short documentary on Ganga. How Industrial waste pollutes it along with various objects thrown in the Holy River.
Garudas were protector of Amrit but what will they do it after getting it was not shown clearly.
Reviving the Saraswati kund from Amrit was shown at times when Shivanand & others were under the influence of Poison. Now with all 7 in their full senses will use Amrit in right way along with some dose of social message.
Many people visting Ganga are from villages. They don't want to compromise with their beliefs. Such epi gives them an idea of what can happen if we all continue unknowingly abusing along with worshiping The Ganga. The makers of MK are just using this medium to create awareness.
While showing Poisonous cloud bursting a disclaimer clip was running about this story being a ficticious one.

Arshics, I agree this message is not a part of the story. But seeing LO's track record of promoting Save Ganga, this was expected. In DKDM too they had shown Ganga disappearing from Earth & Mahadev getting angry seeing her condition. Though this wasn't part of any Puranas. Only a contemprary issue was shown in a Mytho show.
So may be I wasn't that shocked.
But considering Mahakumbh being held at Allahabad, where Triveni Sangam exists. Out of that Saraswati river is shown lupta. Ganga too is lupta now. So they've connected the need of using Amrit in reviving these lupta rivers. That way Rakshak's role is justified.
Rao was shown asking permission from PM in past for a particular plot for cleaning Ganga project in one of the past epi. So in a way this idea was introduced earlier.
The writers are actually writing a contempraray Mytho with major fiction added at times.

Some time back, there was an article which stated that "Stop Ganga Pollution", "Stop Polluting Waters" would be the message of Mahakumbh. I lost interest in MK after reading that article.

I hope the ending is at least not something preachy 😭
