Yes star kids are favoured a lot and are also given more chances to prove themselves/bounce back, esp if industry believes them to be talented. But this special treatment stops once they consistently fail to prove themselves on acting/boxoffice front. And I dont think any producer/director would take bribe to cast a starkid when stakes are so high in every project. No Director would sacrifice or risk their career and reputation to build someone elses, except maybe in some very rare cases where director has immense faith in actor. And if RK is being hinted on here then he signed all his projects around 2 yrs back when he was hot property. Only new project he has signed this year was ADHM and that too was before BV disaster.

Never mentioned Ranbir unless you think he is the only star kid that continues to give flops.

This is just wrong.

Nobody is a star these days, save for the trio of Khans. Everybody else is an actor - working in films. You have to hire able professionals for the job. That's what these people are doing.

I don't deny that nepotism doesn't exist. It does in Bollywood, but ultimately - what counts is what you make of it. Akshay Kumar is considered a bigger star than most actors today. He's an example of what you make of what you have.

this isn't a normal hiring process. Some scripts are offered exclusively to star kids.

So the most able professional is not always hired.

Do you honestly think Abhishek and the likes would be scoring roles if they went through the audition process.

Also Akshay had to stay in the industry for 2 decades before he made a name for himself. Same with the khans. Build a fan base and create a relationship with the public that now is familiar and adores thems

None were stars overnight. They have time to thank for that.
