Will anyone take d risk to watch Gul's next show Ishaqbaaz? I may watch if it is made like Gul's youth show which r awesome n watchable. If its like Gul's GEC shows then no chance.

After following QH & IPKN for a while, i feel they have few fixations and couple of formulas, there's nothing original in their offerings.

they just manage to rope in great actors & that's not enough for me.

Don't think, i'll be invested in any of her shows.Again.

I gave Humsafars an absolute miss

Began watching QH only for KSG then SJ too grew on me

IPKKND too did not watch it religiously a few eps here and there

This PH has the formula of hiring fabulous actors giving us the initial story which is damn good but then it is all downhill from there

I thought ishaqbaaz was some movie of KVB was came here but khoda pahad nikal chuha

I don;t think I have it in me to get my hopes up nad then broken

Will give it a miss

Actors are not yet finalised. HC,NM & BS backed out from the lead role. So who is replacing them?

true Sim. I watched IPKKND and followed QH from season 2 . Gave Humsafars a total miss, good for me.

but there's one thing certain- she manages to get good actors, good initial storylines and her IF fans are by far the most interesting.

All her serials have couples which become kinda legendary- literally with too many stories and fan fictions dedicated to them. not all telly couples can boast that kind of adoration.

In fact, I have a feeling the only reason she sweetened the pot for QH is to lure people for her new offering😆

I watched IPKKND! That was my first Indian TV show! Then avoided QH for a few months after IPK ending. But watched it and liked the show! Liked KSG, SJ and the rest of the cast! Never seen any of them before! Followed the show since.

Did not watch Humsafars when it first started. But caught a few episodes and it really did not interest me that much! Same old formula and the heroine was too preachy and so were her family. Mum and grandmother! Too many vamps as usual! So didn't bother following it! Found out it was being cancelled and when it ended I actually watched it! All I can say is thank God I didn't follow it daily like some did! Utter torture it would have been! That show confirmed to me that Gul is losing her touch! On the wake of that disaster end, they started Season 3 of QH! When I saw the Humsafars set used for Pak track, I knew where that was going to end up! Just as expected it was a disaster!

I also watched Arjun. That was good. Not a Gul show, but it was her husband handling that one! That also ended badly! So after so many bad experiences, I think I just may not bother with this Ishaqbaz! Gul and her ideas are too regressive for me! Your right Juhi, her GEC shows always have the same formula. Lack of respect for women being the main theme! Not one of Gul's heroine's has had a job after being married! I caught some episodes of Reporters, and these 4 Lions people should learn from them! That story has women with jobs and not obsessed with marriage and husbands! How frereshing! No Abala Nari's living with identities given to them by random men! Lol. Reporters reminds me of when I was a fresh grad focused on my career and had no plans of marriage on my mind! Gul can never make shows about women like that! Ishaqbaz will also start well, and then crash and burn!

The only thing they get right all the time is casting! Everything else, especially keeping characters consistent and integrity in storytelling do NOT exist on her shows!

@bold- agree totally!😆

They've this false notion that everything can be romanticised if they have good actors to pull it off.

This doesn't sit well with me.

Ya Barun

Nakul preferred another show over ishaaqbaaz he is playing as lead male surgeon there.

Harshad doesn't want to repeat same type of characters.

Gul's youth shows r okay. They had female leads as fashion designer, future boxer n future IAS officer. These shows had more of serious kind of career-oriented women than romantic instead of being over-bubbly, chirpy n chatterbox. Still, they never have a grey female lead. Alisha wud have been a grey parallel lead who had issues wid her celebrity mom n wanted to make her own identity. But Gul destroyed her too by making her fully negative & d guy who was supposed to be paired opposite her was turned into a gay. But in her last youth shows, 2 of 3 female leads were grey initially n also d male female lead was very strong n not a bechari.

I hated Zoya's character. How can she still live in d same house where she was always insulted n degraded? Asad was turned into a sadist who loved hurting her wid family n parent thing even after knowing abt her. Some days ago, I went across old posts of 2 years ago n was horrified to see dat there several posts abt their hatred for Asad n also Zoya not having self-respect. There were several girls who used to talk against Asad in their posts. I joined QH forum in Sep 2013 so I missed all dat but recently came across some posts. While some people wud always support Asad no matter wat. If Gul can degrade a modern n NRI character like Zoya then she can degrade anyone. Zoya's character seemed like a stupid clown as d time passed.

Still, in SG she showed d heroine upset wid hero for 4-5 months cuz he just said dat their kiss(which was in d heat pf d moment) was a mistake. But d hero had different thought thinking dat d heroine may think wrong abt d kiss. D heroine tuk it as hurt n ignored him a lot. Why can't she show things like dis in her GEC shows? By d way, SG hero was an angel in compared to Maan, Arnav, Asad, Ahil n Sahir. Still, he can't dat treatment 4m d heroine.
